🟥 The execrable Jamil Jivani keeps trying to address the most pliable in our citizenry - a classic dog-whistle for the furthest right. 🙄 This fella represents the worst type of politician: one who tries to create relevancy for himself by targeting hate-mongers and susceptible minds. He still doesn't get it. Even after his tours of universities and colleges, to create a right-wing army of loud young intolerant voices, FAILED dismally. The guy miscalculated. This is not the United States. 😌 We have our problems and divisions, yes, but we do not take up hate easily. We are not easily attracted to madness. These attempts to gain relevancy for all the wrong reasons and build/inspire a massive loyal base of poisonous admirers will fail. The Trump/Vance/Poilievre/Jivani playbook will not work in Canada. 🍁 Not anymore. In our country, the MAGA playbook had a golden moment post-COVID and the widespread anger that resulted due to the necessary measures. 💉😷 Poilievre rode that wave of that anger to popularity by being the leader of the opposition at the right time and successfully capturing that anti-government ire, to present himself as a solution. When Trudeau stepped off the stage, however, all Pierre was left with to offer, was HIMSELF and his "qualities". He could no longer harness the anger that had grown against the Prime Minister that had overseen the response to COVID. The two-year disinformation campaign that Pierre had carried out against Justin was suddenly wasted and flushed down the bowl when he stepped away... And we all know what happened next. 🤷🏻‍♂️ People started to look at Poilievre's offerings as an individual, without the comparison to the damaged Trudeau, and in so doing, Pierre was exposed. He had nothing to offer except slogans, negativity and division. So too, as evidence emerged around his fealty to Trump who was threatening to destroy our economy and annex us, Canadians said, "hell NO." 🙅🏻‍♂️ But conservatives don't get it. They don't get that the moment of hate-inspired magic has passed, never to return. They are trying to recreate the massive wave of popularity they briefly enjoyed through lies, hate and division, in 2022-2024. It will fail. Jivani can shout about "Liberal degeneracy" and "forcing values on our kids" all he wants. Most Canadians see through the rhetoric. Canada deserves better than recycled division dressed up as a stand. 🙄 We're not buying the imported culture war.
