It was great to be invited recently into a local school to speak with the older pupils about careers & especially my involvement with sport We had some fantastic conversations on how to increase confidence , manage anxiety, nerves, & build selfbelief & esteem #schools #confidence

Good morning everyone, and happy Friday ❤️ I really enjoyed doing Question Time last night, what an experience. I can see it’s rattled a few of the usual angry lot on here as well… 🤣🤣 What I’ve noticed is the insults ain’t about what I said. It’s the same old stuff. My criminal record, where I went to school… even me Wikipedia page getting changed again. I wish I had a multi millionaire family FYI, then I wouldn’t be working 6 days a week 🤣🤣 Funny how they never add all the good I do in the news and Wikipedia etc. It does make you think, do these people see me as threat to constantly attack me? I’ve made mistakes in my life. I ain’t perfect, never have been. But I’ve owned it, I’ve learned, and I’ve worked every single day to become a better man. And that’s what life is about. I’ve worked hard for everything I’ve got. Nothing has been handed to me. I’m up early pushing every day and I’m looking forward to a pint in the pub once I finish today. But what matters to me the most ain’t the lies online spread about me, it’s real life. I’ve got 14 unbelievable, loyal, hardworking staff, some who’ve been with me since I was 18 years old. This lot have believed in me, and I’ll always back them. I’ve got a loving, happy home. I’ve got a beautiful, kind, caring wife who is the most amazing mum to our children and watching her now she’s 7 months pregnant with our fourth, makes me proud every single day. And my kids… they’re my world. They’re the reason I keep going, no matter what. Because I know what it feels like to have nothing. I’ve been at rock bottom. Sleeping on a pull-out bed on the floor in my mum’s house. No money. No work. Because of my criminal records. I felt lost and like giving up. But I never did. I got my head down. I believed in myself and I built something out of nothing. That’s why I try to spread positivity. That’s why I visit schools, speak to young people, do the Sunday walks, because I want people to know that your past does not define your future. So when the negativity comes online with all the lies and constant digs….. it don’t break me. Because I know who I am. I’m someone who believes in hard work. I’m someone who believes in family. I’m someone who believes in owning your mistakes and becoming better. And I’m someone who believes in this country and its people. We’ve got the greatest country in the world. And I’ll keep going for my family, for my team, and for every single person out there trying to do the right thing. We don’t go home until we’re proud. Have a fantastic Friday. Let’s go and smash it. Councils are struggling as it is as the people under them. I definitely think other areas need sorting out but this is good

@lewispirnie @TAFKASB A few commentators i know never actually leave their houses unfortunately, but instead work on events and matches remotely, sometimes a couple of thousands of miles away. Issues over delay has pretty much been overcome

@MAMentoring @TAFKASB Yes, standing cameras and commentary boxes will probably be obsolete in the next few years. Even now, commentary for many sporting events, such as snooker, is done remotely. Bizarrely, the German Masters did actually have a commentary box, but for the audience headsets only!

Table the wrong way around (see player seats). Ref standing in eyeline. Oversized red to middle bag. Screen showing totally different shot to the one being played. I could go on. Other than that a great job by the artist.

@10DowningStreet @Keir_Starmer Its sad to see many of the comments on here, if it was reform stating that they were keeping British sport events in the country people would be praising them. This is much bigger than snooker, this is huge for the cities bussinesses, families and community

@DuffMeister1965 @10DowningStreet @Keir_Starmer Its far much more than that, I spoke with many small businesses in the city who explained how important the event is to them, their bussinesses and families. The theatre will be used by so many more and it's about keeping important sporting events in the country

@10DowningStreet @Keir_Starmer Any chance of finding some funding to keep my household running? Why am I paying taxes to support a commercial enterprise that literally pays out tens of thousands of pounds to people for knocking little balls into holes with a bit of wood?

@TAFKASB Its fantastic to see the government stepping in and we need more of the same especially within the area of Drama and arts, things that this country could once be proud of but sadly we're stripped away.

Saw a lot of comments, mostly from Reform voters and fellow oxygen thieves that Starmer shouldn't have got involved in the Crucible deal. Same people who would hail it as 'saving a great British tradition' if Farage would have done it. Which is how he would have dressed it up.

One of the most common areas i work upon within sport is imposter syndrome, it may sound ridiculous to some although most of us would have experienced it at times within our lives, especially when achieving goals or new positions & roles. It can be a hugely overwhelming feeling
