WHAT STARTED IT ALL FOR ME The company is on the verge of beginning it's launch campaign after years of ups and downs but what first got me interested in AST SpaceMobile? After first seeing about AST SpaceMobile from @spacanpanman posting his initial thread on the company I saw the video of DD from David Marshack explain how the solution AST had come up with was genius and solved lots of the reason which caused previous space companies to fail. $ASTS I am not an OG here and this is only the 2nd time I’ve watched this video, but after being an AST investor for over a year, watching this again was eye opening because I understand the technology a lot more now than when I first saw this. This is what the SpaceMob means when they say know what you own. 4 years ago management had already created and patented a technology that didn’t exist. Bent pipe, beamforming, mass production of microns to bring down costs, utilizing the right spectrum(low/mid band) and packaging it all together to allow for a direct to device connection to an unmodified phone without any special chips. Now, 4 years after this video was recorded Elon is still talking about adding special chips to devices and new satellites to connect those new phones too. @AST_SpaceMobile is so far ahead of Space X in direct to device that there’s a chance Space X never catches up. I think the market grossly underestimates this and how valuable their patents are because the market doesn’t comprehend it all yet. You see it on earnings calls e.g. analysts still don’t know what questions to ask, you see it in financial media e.g. they make poor comparisons of AST to Space X and you see it in markets e.g. huge swings in both directions in the share price bc the market doesn’t know how to price this asset yet. All I know is, while so much progress has been made, it’s still the bottom of the 1st inning for this story and the game is just starting to heat up. Watch the video.
