Aside from Friedl’s catch moments ago, the outfield has been a big question mark for the Reds for a few years now.

The Reds have called up RHP Kyle Nicolas and optioned Jose Franco to AAA. The Reds acquired Nicolas from the Pirates for Tyler Callihan. Nicolas allowed just 1 run in 4.2 innings at AAA-Louisville with 7 K and 2 BB. Nicolas has a 4.86 ERA in 86 career MLB games.

I don’t understand why Rece Hinds and JJ Bleday are in this lineup instead of the Cincinnati lineup.
