On 24 April, Trade Attaché Mr. Khaifil Elmi Jamil engaged Best Asian Food LLC on trade dynamics in 🇷🇺, including ASEAN sourcing, pricing, logistics, & payment constraints. The discussion also highlighted supply stability considerations shaping import decisions.

The session generated active interest across sectors including food ingredients, FMCG, payments, automotive parts, and trade facilitation, reflecting continued business engagement and demand for practical market insights.

On 28 April, TYT Dato’ Amb. delivered opening remarks at the webinar organised by MATRADE Moscow entitled, “Tapping into the Russian Market: Opportunities and Challenges,” which drew 88 participants.

On 29 April, H.E. Dato’ Ambassador received Prof. Datuk Dr. Massila Kamalrudin, VC of UTeM, at the Embassy. The meeting reflected the warm engagement & a shared vision for stronger academic ties between Malaysian and Russian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

Working visit to Tatarstan (Apr 16–19): 🇲🇾 Ambassador together with ASEAN Ambs met Rais Rustam Minnikhanov at Kazan Kremlin. Discussions focused on trade & investment opportunities in Tatarstan, as well as cooperation in petrochemicals, manufacturing, tourism, education& cultural

Ambassador 🇲🇾together with ASEAN HOMs attended a session with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting provided valuable insights into business opportunities in Tatarstan and potential areas for enhanced economic cooperation.

Ambassador visited the Alabuga Polytechnic gaining insights into its industry-driven education model and its role in supporting the Alabuga Special Economic Zone. The visit also served as a platform to explore avenues for cooperation in TVET and skills development. 🇲🇾🇷🇺

Amb. had the honour of receiving Lt. Gen. Dato’ Nur Hafis RMAF during his working visit to Moscow. The visit served as a platform to discuss and update on Malaysia–Russia defence cooperation.
