Special tree planting today and the reason was because it was to honor Forestdale School 5th Grader Claire Johnston who recently won the Arbor Day poster contest and was celebrated today by @MassDCR, @MaldenTrees, @adamweldai, and the school community!

Thanks to @ariformalden, @MaldenTrees, @GarrickSanto, and @MassDCR, Goodwin Avenue will soon be home to Malden’s first Pocket Forest!

Let’s plant a tree and then some! 23 new shade trees planted today on Salem Street between Kennedy Drive and Beach Street thanks to @RknoxJr, @MaldenTrees, and @jbjs24.

Why drive to go apple picking when you’ll soon be able to do it right here in @TheCityofMalden! Thanks to @MaldenTrees, an apple and peach orchard is being planted at Forest Dale Cemetery using state funding from @SenJasonLewis, @RepUltrino, @repdonato, and @KateforRep.

The @MayorOfMalden has tasked me with creating a new ordinance this winter to help protect all trees in the city. You can always reach out to me if you ever have a question.

Thanks to @MaldenTrees and our Public Works Department, the first flexible/porous pavement which will better protect the roots of the tree while still capturing the water source was installed today in @TheCityofMalden!
