Time and again Iran has been provoked by Israel and America over the last few years, only to respond in the most perfunctory way possible before agreeing to a ceasefire. They clearly had the ability at any point to wreck our defenses and close the Strait and bombard Israel, but they were never the aggressor and never escalated until after America and Israel assassinated their entire leadership and bombed a school and started the conflict. They were never insane religious fanatics hellbent on destruction, but constrained by the might of Amerisreal. They could have done insane damage if they launched a sneak attack in like 2024. They actually waited until they had absolutely no other option, and when they were in a terrible starting point - having the chain of command decaptitated after months of American military build up in the region. It could have been more cunning and probably more successful if they had been willing to be devious and murderous. I know you probably think that’s just the Iranians being dumb, but that is because you are also kind of evil.
