When the 2026 World Cup was announced for the United States back in 2018, I told myself there was no way I’d miss it. I was going to be there in person, experiencing a World Cup on home soil and I know so many of you felt the exact same way. Fast forward to now, and the ticket prices are completely astronomical. Outrageously unaffordable. What was supposed to be the dream of a lifetime has been priced out of reach for regular fans like me. I’m going to miss watching my country host the biggest event in sports… something I may never get to experience again in my lifetime. Yes, they’re going to make money off this massive event on U.S. soil. But the greed has gone too far. It’s ruining the beautiful game and turning it into something only the wealthy can enjoy. A World Cup should be for everyone not just those who can drop thousands without blinking. This is an absolute shame.

It went from DOA to it won't last a week,month, year Anyone that likes something is a shill or paid. And now 86k with great reviews across the board on every platform for a paid niche genre is considered bad now? Ppl forget PS5/Xbox huh? It's peacful when you ignore them and just play whatever game makes you happy. Let them keep underestimating they will forever move goalposts. Gonna be interesting when they release console sales forgetting Destiny 2 was carried by console But only Steam matters right? Marathon is Fire. Internet trolls will not change my mind.

I think Marathon is going to do just fine. It won't match ARC Raiders, and it isn't really casual friendly... But it doesn't have to be. There are going to be a lot of people who love this game. Enough so all the dip shits obsessing over steam charts are going to have to move the goal posts into the next state at launch. For me? My biggest worry is I won't be able to play it cause I'm not good enough. It has become very clear to me over the last few days the skill gap in this game's PvP will be HUGE. I think the best players in this game will be untouchable by 90% of the rest of the player base.
