FOIA scoop (no paywall): The day Renee Good was killed, a Minnesota state police official repeatedly texted a FBI agent. He wanted to co-manage the crime scene & ensure his agents were included in interviews. For at least 2 days, maybe longer, the FBI didn't respond. Link below.

You know what's better than solving problems?
Creating new ones through sheer compliance.
User reports: 'Email not sending.' I check. It's because they hit the attachment size limit.
Easy fix: compress the file.
But did they fill out the 'Troubleshooting Steps Attempted' section?
Nope.
So I kick it back: 'Please list what you've tried.'
They respond: 'Nothing, that's your job.'
Wrong answer. Policy requires user effort first.
After three rounds of this ping-pong, they finally try compressing.
It works!
Ticket closed as 'User Resolved.'
My stats? Untouched.
Their frustration? Sky-high.
Lesson: Follow the form, or suffer the Derek way.
