And Kenji’s streak of three consecutive regional wins finally came to an end…at the hands of his own sister. Annabelle double-donked him in Top 8. It was over so fast, I didn’t even see them sit down/get up from their match. There was at least a silver lining for Kenji. He was more than happy to rush back to the Texas-shaped pool for a swim. In fact, he sprinted out of the convention center so quickly, he forgot to stick around for his top eight photo. Back at Seattle @CardPartyHQ in September, Kenji said his goal was to win three regionals this season. We all smiled politely, like you do when someone says something ambitious, but slightly unhinged. And then he actually did it. 😍 So indeed, with dedication and hard work, dreams do come true. Just sometimes they end with your sister…waiting for you at the table.

I wonder who the intense coaches are for PokeTCG? Not brutally mean, but productively honest to bring out improvement. I imagine Rahul is fair but tough, Cal honest and point blank. lt must be difficult with Jrs/Srs. Can't imagine a coach like Jackson being anything but kind.

Everyone mad about $10 Pokepads but we had to pay for $80 Canadian for shaymins when I started.

@MarkDizon this is the card I remember most as a kid playing in the tcg events and not being able to afford this card that was a staple in every deck 😭 it was like $40 a copy x 4 for a deck and I was like 13 years old 😭

@SPX_Artifactor I wish I had that option. I even had to pay $110 cad for a full art one cause we couldn't find enough regular arts 🙈

@MarkDizon What's funny is I had 3 and paid a total of 28 usd for them, I ordered one right when the set dropped at $24 pulled one from a $4 pack and my friend gave me his extra he wasn't going to use.
