@ronmortgageguy Sorely disappointed that there were no Ottawa f-bombs.

@ErnestWongBWM It’s still over a 33 p/e. I thought you guys were value investors.
English

@CDInewsletter Clearly Scotiabank needs to work on their approval process.
English

@CDInewsletter I think Discounted Trash Flow did a pretty epic takedown on him

Don't want to brag or anything guys, but I've been blocked by an investor with a 180 IQ and YOU haven't.
Jealous much?

@JasminLaine_ He doesn’t want to. The US representatives have said there’s no negotiations going on despite the LPC saying different. He needs a crisis to win an election and he’s putting his electoral success ahead of the country. It’s disgusting.

Ford's selling his govt jet. ALREADY.
I was going to add to the post I did on this last week that I wouldn't be shocked if he did since he's known to flip-flop pretty quick when there's criticism.
Often that's frustrating. The right call here.
Laura Stone@l_stone
#BREAKING: Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s government is selling its $28.9 million private jet, a senior government source tells The Globe. The purchase set off a firestorm of criticism when the Star revealed it last week. with critics calling it “the gravy plane.” #onpoli

They hated harper, they hated O'Toole, they hated Scheer, the Hate Poilievre.
They literally say the same things about every Conservative leader... when will Canadians realize that it doesn't matter who the leader is? They will be vilified, bullied relentlessly, lied about, dehumanized, belittled, copied and then shamed while the person who copied them is praised... It's been the same pattern for decades.
Scott Robertson@sarobertsonca
Mélanie Richer: "[Pierre Poilievre's] had a year to figure out what he's got to say since the last election and he hasn't come up with anything."

@KirkLubimov First, the total vote was down dramatically so you’re comparing apples and oranges. Second, as someone said, everyone knew they weren’t going to win- why bother? Third, probably a lot of strategic voting in Terrebonne.
English

@BorrachinhaMMA Not sure who wears the pants in this relationship.
English

@RealAlbanianPat It’s interesting to note that the Liberals have screwed the country up so much that we’re now cheering for a separatist party to win a by election.
English

@JasminLaine_ It’s amazing to me that Liberal morals in relation to accepting people in and around the party aren’t ever questioned. “A right wing social conservative? - Yeah we’ll take her.” “A kiddy diddler but he’s a good organizer? Yeah, we’ll take him.”
English

What do Liberal strategists want Canadians to focus on?
1) Pierre blew his 20-point lead
2) Pierre lost his riding
3) Pierre needs to change
What do they want you to avoid thinking about?
1) Pierre has been driving the conversation around everything that actually matters—housing affordability, the cost-of-living crisis, the carbon tax, crime, and ACTUALLY getting Canadian resources to market... not just talking about it.
2)The Liberals straight-up conceded to Pierre’s best ideas because they had no choice. Carney’s very first act as PM in March 2025 was cancelling the consumer carbon tax (the “fuel charge”) that Pierre had fought for years under “Axe the Tax.” The Liberals also copied Conservative-style tax relief for first-time homebuyers and middle-class families. Pierre won the policy debate so thoroughly that even his opponents had to adopt his platform to survive.
3)Pierre’s Conservatives were 2.5 points from winning. They gained +25 seats across the country while the Liberals limped into a minority government. Pierre’s ideas resonated with millions of Canadians who want real change, not slogans. (And yes, he lost Carleton in the upset—but roared back in the August by-election with over 80% of the vote in Battle River-Crowfoot.)
Reality is different from party talking points... repeated word for word by faceless accounts on social media and pundits who benefit financially from the party being in power on the news.

@dubsndoo Bad take. The real issue here is flexible morality of the LPC. Clearly Ma was a Manchurian candidate who switched to govt when his party lost, the woman from the arctic had more baggage than a ziploc factory and now they’re accepting extreme right wingers.
English

@ronmortgageguy @scoopercooper Party loyalty died earlier, when Trudeau 1 called backbenchers a bunch of nobodies.
Mark my words, ten years from now we’re going to learn about the bribes that were made and be furious.
English

@jacques1aldou @AndrewLawton That’s better than 100% of the Liberals
English

@AndrewLawton I wonder what the number of conservatives that are just fakes and would easily switch parties with the right incentives ($$ or power). My guess is around half. Just a guess.
English

@JeffBrownEnreal @preta_6 Finished your book on the weekend. Great read.
English

@preta_6 my experience was the microcosm for the macrocosm we are all confronted with now Amy.
