Supporting indigenous Sámi in the Northern Boreal forests. We're proud to support members of the Muddusjärvi Reindeer Herders’ Cooperative (MPLK) in their landmark complaint to the United Nations Human Rights Committee – a pivotal case at the intersection of climate change and indigenous rights – as we advocate for the Sámi community's right to preserve their traditional way of life. MPLK is the last reindeer herding community to use the endangered Inari Sámi language. Their way of life is under serious threat from environmental degradation and insufficient government support. Our team, alongside esteemed colleagues Toby Fisher and Professor Martin Scheinin, is committed to ensuring that the Finnish Government upholds its obligations under international human rights law. This case is not just about survival; it's about sustaining a rich cultural heritage for future generations.
