Khoza, at Shoes’ funeral, narrated how he lost out to Kaizer in signing Shoes

Watwaa! We were in Phokwane (Phokoane) Nebo area in Sekhukhune at the oldest senior secondary school that has produced national leaders of our country. Sadly it’s in a state of neglect. Each from grade 8-12 girl received sanitary products & new shoes while boys only got shoes.

A few days after Madiba’s release in February 1990, I stood in this historic moment with Nelson Mandela and Walter Sisulu. On request of the ANC, the Transkei Defence Force safeguarded Madiba until MK cadres returned from exile, and we delivered with flying colours.

A young Walter Sisulu circa late 1930s. Sisulu founded Sitha Investments in 1939. It was situated at Barclay Arcade between West Street and Commissioner Street in the business district of Johannesburg. Its objective was to help black and Indian people buy houses.
