Using lesser known Japanese words as a Westerner: OMG where did you learn that from?! Chinese: Of course you'd say 進歩がない. You don't know how to say it in Japanese naturally.

Fantastic story and dialog but I regret spending time grinding all achievements.

Especially effective for speakers who abuse loan words, with kanji backgrounds or those who read a lot more than they speak.

Reverse thinking: when you hear a word or pattern, ask yourself if you’ve used it before and what you've been using instead. Next time, you'll be able to pick a more suitable word.

If you love kanji so much you’re studying for kanken, but you can’t even read chinese, wtf are you doing? You know there’s a whole language where they write entirely in kanji, right?

Man reading a book while listening to its audiobook at the same time is an actual game changer. With this exact same novel I had tracked 7.7k characters per hour w/o audiobook. Now, with audiobook, I just did 29k characters in 2 hours, or 14.5k / h. This is crazy!

@ItsumoNihongo Trying to figure stuff like this with kanji disintegration is just confusing to me because they are literally used the same way in Chinese apart from the second one being more formal.

「答案」と「解答」、どう違う？ 解答はいつも正しい答えだが答案は必ずしも正しいとは限りませんとは教わったんだけど、この文章を見つけた 「解答に誤りが3つありますよ。」って 誤りがあるってことは正しくない場合があるってことじゃないの？
