Why would anyone argue for a one-size model in which everyone miraculously, and instantly has equity. This ignores parent choice, which everyone else has!

The trend of closing down specialist-needs schools, which some have argued is discriminatory and ghettoising.
It’s a contested idea, but generally speaking the argument for equity has triumphed over tailored, specialist education.
