@clongmire42 Ha! Honestly I had a big smile when I noticed it 😁 Kudos to them for focusing on what mattered for their game and using ALS for the loco, saved a whole lot of time I’m sure! I felt like this across my playthrough. They allocated their resources really well and it showed.

My wife and I finished Expedition 33 last night. To say that we were impressed with the game is an understatement We both got instantly hooked by the story, the world and its characters Perfectly paced game, incredible writing, performances & top tier music Bravo to the team!

@wardonkey @infinitisirrena I’d say it depends Our industry isn’t great at naming + desc for tech Anim Depending on the studio, a tech anim might be closer to a rigger type of role while In others, tech anim is more involved in the runtime like state machines, IK, etc TDiA (like Epic) makes that clearer

Just got out of an interview that didn't go well, and wanted to ask is it common to have a knowledge of state machines, ik retargeting, and stride warping as a tech anim? i have some knowledge of them, but nothing I've had to work on that required it, so i don't know much. :((

I'm messing around the Copy Motion node from Epic. There is much more to experiment with, but I was comparing the poses with and without Copy Motion, and there is definitely a noticeable difference between the two.

@JSpoiler4 @RyanMuoio For item like grenade/consumable, I assume that the Bones used and the space they were applied in changed right? For example, copy hand_r and reapply that on itself in spine space? Did you ever have the need to copy multiple bones? The delay info is very good, thx for sharing!

@RyanMuoio We based the node on an animator's workflow and I think this could be applied to an IK chain on chest/hips too. Animators tied parameters on a chooser so you could tweak them on running vs idle. I'd like us to eventually do this on control rig to make it more animator-driven.

I haven't figured out how to best make use of many of the parameters, but I might return to figuring things out at some point.
