@westlotpirates This only came out when the New York Times published a big article on him. Was really hoping he'd buy the rights to name the scoreboards at the NRF - OnlyFans as the named sponsor would have been hilariously awesome.
English

@76shademaster @thecarm Last year he lost 4 of starters and finished with a winning record. This year he has 8 new players - 5 freshman. Three who have started. NU does not have the money to rebuild in the portal.
English

First ever NU coach to make the tournament. Then goes back-to-back for appearances 2 and 3. 3 NCAA tournament wins. Helped develop Barnhizer, Martinelli, Boo into all Big Ten players. Atmosphere at Welsh-Ryan fantastic. Beat #1 Purdue twice. Chris has been fantastic.
Jeff Agrest #🟦@JeffAgrest
I don’t know what Chris is talking about …
English

@williamsjohn89 @thecarm NU makes the tourney each of the last five season playing the DePaul and Loyola schedules.
English

@thecarm Joey and Ray Meyer and Kennedy had q in late 90s
English

@RLins12 @ZachKoons That’s bc Williams put up 6pts and Nick passed him for the scoring title and while I don’t really care - Nick was punished for injuries to teammates and then staying at NU while they rebuilt with youth.
English

@ZachKoons I agree with you. Though I know a lot of people will be upset. It’s just weird to see the two-time scoring champ second team twice. I’m a believer team success should matter. Oddity was it didn’t last year when Williams made it instead of Nick and UNL finished below NU.
English

Completely fine with this; Last year was a clear snub but that doesn’t mean there should be an overcorrection. The B1G is loaded with talent, so if you think this is wrong, who should he have kicked off of the First Team? No shame in being a top 10 player in CBB’s deepest league

Nick Martinelli, the Big Ten’s Leading Scorer 🤌 All-Big Ten Second Team
English

@Boosheadband You can’t control the roster around you. It’s an individual and not team award. Nick was punished because of injuries last year and a rebuilding year this year. NU should just hand up his and boo’s numbers - to retiring numbers which is dumb imho.
English

@M_Shelton33 For a Titan to say that about a Spartan is a real compliment.
English

@spencer_gi78814 @franfraschilla Guys like Braden Smith and Nick Martinelli were unheralded recruits who were not paid early. Martinelli decommitted from Elon after a coaching change before committing to NU.
English

@franfraschilla Pick some mid major guys. It's easy for the high major guys who walk into programs making hundreds of thousands
English

The 4-year guys who stayed at one school are heading to the Smithsonian because they are nearly as extinct as dinosaurs. Who are the best? I’ll start: Braden Smith, Emanuel Sharp, Richie Saunders, Nick Martinelli, Bruce Thornton, Tamin Lipsey, Sam Hoiberg, Jaxon Kohler, Trey Kaufman-Renn, Seth Trimble, Alex Karaban. Who else?
English

@hoosierfan2222 @walkeri141 This is the drive you crazy part of Collins trap the best players on the opposition strategy. Always leaves open threes. You just hope the open guy doesn't go 10-13 from the field and 5-8 from three and it balances out with turnovers.
English

@walkeri141 They’re running the “leave a guy wide open in the corner” defense… one of my favorites
English

@Jadaki @chihooser96 @itsAntWright @ArmchairIllini @WolverineCorner @ESabro3 @nithkrish You can't criticize Nick bc a team starting three freshman was horrible on D for the first 2/3 of the season. Not a great defender but you can say the same thing about Smith at Purdue. Both are willing but adequate defenders and undersized at their positions.
English

@chihooser96 @itsAntWright @ArmchairIllini @WolverineCorner @ESabro3 @nithkrish Imagine the sport is played on two ends of the court, and scoring isn't the only thing being judged.
English

@heyouwitheface4 For every thing he has done wrong he’s done 5 things right this year. They are just better when he’s on the floor. If he can hit threes he will make a jump next year.
English

@jmoney846211 @kicknyrgios This shows that the new offensive staff can't recruit. I mean they lost a guy who committed before they were hired at a position they have depth for the next two years. Fire Chip!
English

You should be freaking the fuck out.

2027 RB Zion Mabry decommits from Northwestern
English

@MrCoolLikeThat @RLins12 @BoilerMuse One foul didn’t but the fact that they called 6 or 7 in the first 5 minutes of the second half broke up NUs rhythm - put Singleton on the bench and got Michigan into the bonus and soon 2x bonus - this made a huge difference.
English

@RLins12 @BoilerMuse They had ample opportunity to pull away and never did. One foul didn’t cause that lmfao.
English

Nah bro Michigans whistle is disgusting bro
I can’t wait for them to not have the refs bailing them nonstop just one game
BoilerMuse@BoilerMuse
Go figure Refs doing everything they can to keep Michigan in the game Clockwork💀🤢
English

@Karl78531086 @shay_072 The alternative is 4 empty sections and $$$ left on the table. NU monetize it so good for them. The students have first claim to the seats but if there is no interest the athletic department has the obligation to sell them.
English

@shay_072 I get that the students can come off as fair weather, but the admin still can’t be selling these seats. Need the atmosphere to be GREAT for big games and seems like if we’re selling those seats it won’t happen
English

Mark Jackson putting this program through a humiliation ritual at this point. Can’t blame him that much tho when the student body and fanbase is this fair weather 🤷♂️
Inside NU@insidenu
It looks like Northwestern has sold a portion of seats in the student-section to the general public. The last time I can remember this happening was when Caitlin Clark and Iowa came to visit in 2024.

From James Hodge on Facebook
“One man shoved a woman to the ground. Another man stepped in to protect the woman. The man who shoved the woman then pepper sprayed the man trying to protect her. The guy who shoved the woman continued to pepper spray them both and the man who stepped in tried to use his body as a shield to protect the woman. The guy who shoved the woman then started trying to drag the man shielding the woman away. The woman shoving man failed to drag the man shielding the woman so several more men jumped in to stop the man from shielding the woman. The woman shover and his friends then stomped, punched, and kicked the man who had been trying to shield the woman. As they assaulted him they realized the shielding man had a holstered gun. The shielding man fought to get free to protect the woman, but never reached for his gun. One of the stomping men grabbed the shielding man’s gun and cleared himself before a single shot was fired. The other men then, after he had been disarmed, shot the shielding man ten or more times despite never having reached for his gun and after he’d already been disarmed.
That is exactly what happened. A man was murdered for trying to protect a woman who’d been assaulted.
He wasn’t a terrorist, he was a hero. He was the one protecting someone and he was gunned down for doing what any decent man should do when he sees a woman being assaulted. Alex Pretti died a hero. Alex Pretti exemplified the best of America and was murdered for it.
If you have any honor, any love for your country, and basic human decency, you will applaud the Alex Pretti and condemn the men who murdered him.”

English

@ClarktheShark09 @TheCinesthetic It’s a good story in the writer’s style - lots of science (real and fiction) Hopefully they won’t change the ending like the Martian.
English

@TheCinesthetic Shittiest book I’ve ever read. Maybe the movie is good lol
