I think NYC really suffers from being the only Real City in a country of 300 million people. Manhattan has become a sort of City Disney Land for kids from Florida and Ohio. There is no other place to fulfill the fantasy.

My grandpa was born in Stanhope, New Jersey in 1912. He went back to Poland a few months later.
In 1930, he returned to the United States age 17 as a US citizen. Here he is, left, liberating Europe from fascism in 1945.
Birthright citizenship forever.

When I was a child, my friends and I recorded our Star Wars action figures with a camcorder. My parents nicely let me mail tapes to LucasFilm, as suggestions for the plot of the yet-to-premiere Episode I. LucasFilm responded with a cease and desist demanding I not use their IP.

-people who stand still on the subway stairs to text
-people who make a human chain while walking in Midtown
-people who put their backpack on a subway seat and refuse to move it so the elderly can sit

But that doesn’t really matter. Calling a fellow American of Nigerian ethnicity any less of an American than you is foul.
