Seen as though it's Easter this weekend it's only right that this weeks creature feature is about killer rabbits. Night of the Lepus (1972). Enjoy!

Yesterday was one of those days where Grief decided to pay an unexpected house call. I was having a lovely afternoon, but Grief doesn’t mind! In fact sometimes I think that’s when she likes to visit best. My mom has been gone for 11.5yrs and Grief doesn’t drop by as often as she used to, but every once in a while she still invites herself over.
Not sure if you could really call this a poem, but I find it helpful to jot these feelings down when they come. I decided to share in case someone else finds this framework helpful too 🖤

This was me on my wedding night 13yrs ago. I found the dress on sale for 15pounds. Id gone to a hairdresser I found at the shopping center earlier that day—I’ll never forget the stylist’s face when I told her I was getting married in a fews hours.
After nearly 5yrs of long distance, my British husband and I had we were at an impasse. It was get married or break up. So we eloped. We told everyone not to get excited. This wasn’t a “real” marriage, not in the normal sense. We didn’t know if we wanted to spend our whole lives together. We just knew we had to spend this moment together. The present was all that mattered and we had to be together right then. And to do that, we needed to get married.
13yrs later, I still need to spend this moment with him. And now I know I also need all the moments that are yet to come still, too 💕
