Domo Arigato for this heartwarming rendition of Country Roads. As an American who grew up watching Speed Racer (Mahha GōGōGō), Ultraman, Kimba the White Lion and Godzilla, I've always considered us to be friends. Best friends, in fact. ❤️

Curious. Would you consider Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson and Stephen R. Donaldson to be American Fantasy? I mean, Wheel of Time and Chronicles of Thomas Covenant both had characters and elements that LOTR fans would recognize, but I always thought of it as more homage to Tolkien. 🤷

I would posit the reason why people can't recognize American Fantasy is because they look for elves and dwarves, etc. Meanwhile, Cryptids (Americana folklore) are more popular than they've ever been.
