Polymarket's rule change to prevent resolution of brackets until next day will partially remediate this issue, in the sense that it will allow all brackets to be resolved consistently wrt each other (since they are all being resolved on same data).

Fellow pilots, many of you are wondering why Polymarket changed the rules on temp markets such that we have to wait for first datapoint of next day before any bracket can be resolved. [thread]

It's now day 3 since "decentralized" crypto exchange Polymarket pressed a magic button that made our money disappear. @mustafap0ly and @williamlegate keep repeating that refunds are coming without specifying which positions will be paid, despite multiple people asking for days.

Today Weather markets disappeared with an big BUG on @Polymarket and all positions, and money from Weather traders was gone. Will everyone get their money back @mustafap0ly @williamlegate @shayne_coplan ? What about give a better attention to Weather Markets? Improve liquidity, give us more Rewards!! 🚨 Météo France porte plainte après un accès illégitime à un capteur à Roissy, suspecté d’avoir manipulé une donnée de température. Un pic anormal à 21°C a permis à un parieur Polymarket de gagner 14 000$.

Et si des parieurs de Polymarket avaient manipulé... des capteurs météo? Auprès de BFMTV, Météo France confirme avoir déposé une plainte suite à des traces d'accès illégitime à leur capteur de température de l'aéroport Charles de Gaulle. Le 6 avril dernier, il indiquait subitement une température maximale (très inattendue) de 21 degrés aux alentours de 19h. Faisant gagner 14.000 dollars à un internaute qui venait de créer son compte.

Regarding the Paris temperature market incidents, people mention two suspected instances of manipulation on April 6 and April 15. April 6: The temperature suddenly spiked in the evening and fluctuated up and down for over an hour. This spike resulted in the account “Kyrgyzhydromet” making $16.5k. The incident was discussed in a French meteorological forum and attributed to maintenance. I believe no manipulation occurred that day. The winning account is actually my alt, I noticed the temperature fluctuations early and bought undervalued shares before others reacted. April 15: The temperature again spiked suddenly, but only for a single reading before immediately dropping back to its previous level. The account “xX25Xx” made $21k. Unlike April 6, these purchases were made well before the spike. This, combined with the nature of the spike, leads me and many others to believe that manipulation may indeed have taken place. A Polymarket staff member has confirmed that the current airport will be replaced with another one. If manipulation did occur, I hope the French authorities investigate the matter and identify those responsible. Attached below is an image of the spike on April 15.
