So my friend Akinyi, confident, well-dressed, life together, everything aligned pulls into a mall parking lot like a boss. Music low, sunglasses on, zero stress. Then she spots that reverse parking slot. Clean. Spacious. Slight audience.
She signals. Commits. Turns the wheel with faith.
Immediately, the car says “no.”
First attempt: too close on the left.
Second attempt: now somehow too far.
Third attempt: hazards come on (because emotional support).
Akinyi steps out, walks around the car like a surveyor, nods seriously, gets back in, tries again… meanwhile two guards, a boda guy, and one random man who doesn’t even own a car are watching silently.
Five minutes later, she parks perfectly, walks away like nothing happened, and I swear you could hear her say, “I meant to do it like that.”
Moral? Reverse parking is not about skill—it’s about mental strength. And yes, some of the best drivers I know are ladies, but reverse parking will humble you first before it respects you.
Anyway… if you want a car that listens, responds gently, and doesn’t expose you in public parking lots 👇

I've just experienced something extremely disturbing.
Sure, we all have our traumas, but we can’t keep projecting them onto innocent people.
We were having our meals when we suddenly heard loud crying and screaming from the washrooms. We hesitated for a second, but when we heard the sharp cry of a child, we all abandoned our food and rushed towards the ladies .
Inside, we found a woman crying hysterically in a corner a child screaming, and a man standing there looking confused.
“Nini?” I asked.
“Alikuwa ndani na mtoto!!!” she shouted.
In a split second, the men who had rushed in with us turned towards the guy harassing him.
I had already picked up the child, who was crying nonstop when i noticed something. She was crying while reaching out for the man.
“Nimtoto wake!” I shouted instinctively.
The child stretched out her hand, and the guy took her.
She stopped crying, clung to him, breathing heavily.
“Huyu ni daddy?” one of the ladies asked.
The child nodded as she rested calmly on her father’s chest.
“Na kama ni babake, wapi mamake!? Anafanya nini na mtoto peke yake!?” the screaming lady shouted.
That’s when I realised she was half drunk.
“Nyamaza mbwa!” I yelled completely forgetting I'm a Sunday school teacher who is supposed to reflect Christ at all times.
The hotel management stepped in and apologised to the man. As for where the mother was, I honestly didn’t bother to follow up. Male parents don’t need licenses to walk around with their daughters.
The issue was simple:
This drunk lady opened the toilet only to find the man inside with his daughter (around 5 yrs old). He probably hadn’t locked the door or something. Instead of asking questions, started screaming making the child to cry.
Yes, we must stay vigilant, but we must also approach such situations with caution. Otherwise, innocent lives can be ruined. 🤦♀️
I genuinely feel bad for the man. He must be traumatised.

It is a place which takes you 2 to 3 hours if you work in town. So count commuting hours like 6 every day. Common matters are the boring and crazy Embassava and again there are two police training camps GSU and AP. During reporting and graduation, you will be lucky to get home before 3 am in the morning. When it rains Nairobi, it rains triple in that area. The water cartels put enough mattresses on the pipes so no county water...you only depend on the cartels salty borehole water while Babu Owino pretend like he does not know this things are going on. He is the MP you know who wants to be governor and cannot sort out water issues in Utawala. Sewage system has been selectively constructed to suit Babu Owino's allies, while the rest ensures it sips out to the roads. We are there, we are not complaining, we just observe and move on
