Today LeBron very first debut on #PaniniBlockchain sold for 1/10 of its true value. Some people chalk it up to market inefficiency or seller not checking (leaving $100k+). But we hope PBC can record past offers like Heritage and have a valuation system like Alt. How to value your PBC asset? - Use comps, change player in the set find comp, using ratio (from other cards). - Find two cards from sale, one better and one worse to sandwich it. - Using physical comp with a ratio. - Understand the card (it could be just another such card in physical but could be first ever or very rare on chain), and check all time sales of that player. - See market trend and adjust older data. - Join in PBC discord or make a post on social media and ask. - If your cards have multiple watchers, relist your card at high enough ask to alert all watchers and be patient, demand is less likely to disappear than not seeing it. - Search your email to see past offers (often lowball) to have a ball park. Anything to add? Having items sell to true value especially big boys are important: - Not take away another record making visibility - Make valuation system reasonable especially important in the nascent BC hobby to build - Seller likely bought in from this experience and contribute more to the ecosystem The silver lining is that, plenty of grails are with first owners who don’t understand market or item, so it could be considered as an opportunity or a sign of being early to secure items with immense potential or immediate upside. Never a boring day on PBC. People getting emotional means they care and BC hobby matters. Happy Easter to those who celebrate! [BC 196/1959]

When a definition fails to explain clearly and requires numerous conditional limitations just for participants to grasp it, that definition is already a failure — ineffective and confusing. I’m not asking for perfection, but a flaw is a flaw, and it must be faced head-on!
Chris BC@cg1907BC

@MetaverseLuka They‘re only very common when it was a bigger release. Yes it is indeed messy considering all the different kind of releases Panini did, but it was IMO the correct call to mirror it the way Topshot did it.

Why do I say this badge is problematic? If 'debut' refers to the minting date, then each player should have only one card. But now, tell me, aren’t debut badges as common as dirt?
Chris BC@cg1907BC

@MetaverseLuka I think the debut badges are correct and should be on the first minted cards on chain. Nevertheless I do agree that the Green and Red Debuts exists and IMO „First Pack“ pulled badges should be introduced as well.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. According to Panini's official promotion, the OG100 refers to the earliest 100 blockchain cards, and the 2021–22 NBA set was originally designed carrying the 'Debut' logo. But then someone internally introduced a 'Debut Card' badge, which ended up turning many players’ Debut cards into their college-era versions. This could seriously mislead newcomers to the collecting space. The official description keeps getting revised, and that’s a significant concern!
spinotron@spinotron

I feel you. The very debut of LeBron should not be 20th highest LeBron sold on chain, especially under today’s market. Right after we cooked a bit yesterday. I have raised this issues numerous times to the team. Should have a valuation based UI. Or have a Heritage type of records on listing page where offers and offerers are recorded and seller can issue them a counter any time later. Chalk it up to the imperfection of system, too early for owners to realize what they have, and in an open market any thing can happen. This is PBC equivalent of an alien punk sold at floor. Stay the course and patiently waiting for the ethereum on chain moment.

The major flaws in Panini Blockchain's global pricing system have been creating endless opportunities for thieves and opportunists. This issue has persisted for far too long. The arbitrary way badges are set, without consulting collectors, along with inconsistent definitions, has caused significant losses to collectors. I’m starting to lose faith in this market—even though I’ve already invested a considerable amount of money into it.

As BAYC & Meebits’ 5th HBD soon, #PaniniBlockchain is already 6+ yrs old. The 1st appearance of PBC was OG100, distributing 100 pairs of BC🤝physical via Dutch. *OG 1 was minted on 1/2/2020. 1st packpull was minted on 3/9/2020. Let’s discuss Opensea Floor Price before ethereum bridge. PBC should be thought of as sports cards natively on chain. Physical sports card market has never been better, 10 all time high months within the last 24 months, including 2026 Jan and Feb back to back. We have also seen crazy ROI over 2-3 years for many examples. Judge Super and Shai Flawless logo for examples. More sports cards over $1M+ in 3 months (11) than 2024 entire year (7), on track (44) of beating 2025 (28). But if you go to ebay, plenty of cards are $0.01+shipping, so floor price is $0.01 (plus “gas”), or lower if in bulk or throw-in. Does it capture the momentum and upside of sports cards now, of course not. Bulk of physical sports cards made these days are unnumbered and massive produced physical base cards in a large-ish base set, this brings price of wax/pack/box down to be more accessible and democratized, while making hitting the rarer/best cards a special thrilling event and everyone who buys the pack has a shot at those at a relatively low cost with a low but nonzero chance. This is why FP is $0.01. PBC exactly the same. But most NFTs/digital collectibles on opensea are PFP projects from thousands in population to 20,000+. Those item in a given project are linearly comparable to each other, so notion like floor price to measure/rank/trend projects is a reasonable approach. People even measure project market cap by multiplying floor with population, which ignores the value hierarchy within projects (as well as various benefits empowered or airdropped since mint). PBC cards have parallel structures built in cards, 1/1 grail, vs gold /10, vs epic /25, vs accessible commons /250+. Also players of goats or superstar calibers vs players that have to be included in a set per team minimum of league requirements (some rookies will bust out). So there is no linear structure. A common player’s common card has not bearing on stars’ epics. A bag in KaDeWe vs B/K in Hermès. At least 2 approaches: - Linearization. One can use the ratio between parallels via print runs and ratio between players via average prices in the Data Dive under market section of Panini Direct App. Then one can compare two different cards under same footing. This is absolutely objective, verifiable independent of users, and almost scientific and sound. - Via a representative sub-collection/aggregate of the entire PBC catalog. For example, top 10,000 cards within the projects. The selection criteria will be subjective. One can talk about floor price of those 10000. This will bring PBC closer in spirit to other PFPs, price of those in Top10000 can reflect to other cards via ratios in the previous, while easily bring eyes on nicer part of collection. The floor price will then be determined by top 7500-1000 cards and likely to be $500-1000 as of now. I can try to indicate in a separate post how Top10k will look like, once things moveable to ethereum chain, guys can track them and put a floor price for (their own version of) Top10k. But it won’t be on opensea or in PaniniBC UI. At least from day 1. Expect to see low floor prices because that’s how hobby hobbies. Focus on player, card brand/set and rarity parallel (floor price within that specific microcosmos) or using one of the above methods to get a better grip on how PBC is performining in price action. If any questions, please AMA by leaving a comment on any of my recent posts. #BlockbyBlock #whodoyoucollect #sportscard @PaniniAmerica @kortpeters @RoshanJ58372131 @opensea @dfinzer @HollanderAdam @ethereumfndn @VitalikButerin *OG1 is Wagner, the last of OG100 / OG100of100 in minting is KD @KDTrey5. As you can see, only 3 days between that and minting of the very first PBC packpull. [BC179/1959]

I can’t even begin to describe the feeling of pulling that Luka in a pack. Man, what a rush that was!

[BC 177/1959], let’s do @lukadoncic! Perhaps not many have seen the similarity of the two action shots (pointed out to me by @MetaverseLuka). Metal logo also has 💥shape. Luka=Jordan athlete. Top 2 highest playoffs avg score together w/ MJ. Even jersey #’s complementary. Is Kaboom Green/Gold the new PMG green? 27 years later. #whodoyoucollect #sportscard #hobby #blockbyblock #PaniniBlockchain The left card is owned by MetaverseLuka. The right one is the iconic 90s precious metal gems emerald/green /10, included for comparison purpose.

Found that NFTs and digital art are exhibited in @moco_museum. Excited. Planned to spend 1 hour on NFT alone. Selection is super meh, except @beeple 100/100 perfect mint on loan from @33NFT. No curation, no audio guide for NFT. Normie won’t understand or GAF. NFT passionists underwhelmed. Still kudos for them to be Europe’s first NFT museum showcase and still showing them after acquiring since 2022 bubble. Maybe I’m asking too much. Feel better outreach and onboarding can be had. Better examples can be featured.

Always love the post that gives prop in first line, because the dump is coming. Also you tag PaniniBC wrong. I think you really need to engage into the marketplace to know the reality. Cannot be an armchair critic thinking know it all. I barely sell anything. So being a pumper or rotating inventory among guys is categorically false. Yes, if I don’t onboard SingaporeTexan (with Sdiso), I could have everything I won at half price probably. If I don’t onboard ADL, maybe I get more Flawless goodies. If I don’t onboard and chat with Raspy (Moe got him in earlier but hibernate a while), maybe repricing won’t be here, can stack in peace. The list goes on. Some fact many people seemingly cannot wrap their heads around is that there are truly altruist people in the world who want to build a great ecosystem, the hobby in ideals and perfection, who want to see everyone win. That’s my position. My lifelong goal is to close gap between coffin cards and art and close the gap between BC cards and physical cards. Those will benefit hobby, art, crypto and physical. If I owe everything, and there is no ecosystem, then I owe nothing. If this makes sense. So I have been tryint to teach guys tricks with pure knowledge and hobby hack, and bring many people along the journey in W position. Hobby is no zero sum game. Before I share, there is no dark side in this global perspective. “If this is good, why don’t you have it all, and why you share?” That’s really small mind thinking. Regarding whether it’s fake optic of a handful guys only, or there are many people and constantly fresh blood incoming and many big time, data don’t lie. One piece of data from refent is top 250 guys have spent $16k++ over 2 months minimum. Also I’m barely active on marketplace and I get teased a lot for that, so I don’t go around bidding things up to protect market outside a couple of real real big ones I wanted since product release, and I put offers in and will be beyond cloud nine, if sellers accept (Wemby/LeBron/Curry, Flagg DN 1/1, Flagg RR 1/1 are active examples and my offers ain’t crazy). Regarding finite catalogue and infinite demand. The best performing two NFT projects this year are PaniniBC and CryptoPunk. Both have true collectability, no extra fluffs. Being a collector, the dream scenario is to have a comprehensive killer catalogue and no constant dilutive follow up releases. Hobby history is a history of releases getting stopped and things proceed to 10-100x over next years. Late 90s, Exquisite, and Jordan autos etc… We have already seen PaniniBC NBA and baseball has been absolutely ballistic in tune with sports action and moments. Chain is shaken so hard one can tell from that alone whether a player is having himself a night. I think it’s a smear campaign or a salty take from someone looking from outside without insight. The good thing about blockchain is everything is transparent, data ready and with full provenance, so those baseless half arsed claims can be easily refuted. That’s it all. Happy to engage more, but I don’t think their goal is to understand Panini but try to sabotage. Happy to be proven wrong though and help guys grow their portfolio and holdings in depth and value.
AllDay Collector's Guide@AllDayGuide

🚨Long Post Warning🚨 I’ve been thinking about @PaniniNFTs for a while and finally ready to weigh in. Gotta give @spinotron credit — few people promote digital collecting with more passion or consistency. He’s helped keep the space alive🔥 But there’s more to the story. When someone’s only painting upside and pumping what they own, collectors should pause and think critically. There are no sure things in emerging markets — especially ones that depend on network effects to stay alive. Digital markets don’t rise because supply is fixed. They rise because networks grow — more collectors → more liquidity → more visibility → more validation. That’s the network effect: the invisible engine that powers real demand. But network effects cut both ways. When new users stop joining, new content slows, or attention drifts, the loop reverses. Each exit removes a bit of energy — fewer trades, fewer conversations, less cultural pull. That’s network decay. The @PaniniAmerica flywheel used to spin from:
1️⃣ Major league licenses
2️⃣ New rookies each season
3️⃣ League marketing & visibility That pipeline kept fresh energy and new participants entering the network. Now? Those licenses are gone or limited. No new rookies. No official league exposure. Panini still has “fixed supply,” but that doesn’t matter if demand isn’t renewing. A shrinking network can’t compound value. You can still see activity — big auctions and trading spikes — but that doesn’t always mean growth. Often it’s the same small group recycling liquidity, keeping the optics strong. 🐋 Enter the whales. A handful of high-spending collectors can make a thin market look vibrant. They bid each other up, rotate inventory, and sustain the illusion of depth. That’s market maintenance, not expansion. Smart money doesn’t need to pump. It accumulates quietly while others chase noise. Loud buying is often about preserving engagement — keeping the crowd interested long enough to hold value. None of this means digital collecting is doomed. I’m very bullish on the space long term — the tech, transparency, and fandom potential are huge. I’m just not investing in Panini right now, because I don’t believe the network effects are sustainable without major licenses and fresh content feeding growth. There will be winners and losers. The winners will have:
✅ Real licenses & IP pipelines
✅ Growing collector bases
✅ Open, interoperable liquidity
✅ Real fandom utility The losers will have:
❌ Shrinking ecosystems
❌ Whale-driven optics
❌ Decaying network effects So when someone says, “These NFTs will moon because supply is fixed,” ask:
➡️ Is the network growing?
➡️ Are new collectors joining?
➡️ Is demand organic or circular? Because value doesn’t come from what’s minted — it comes from what’s connected⚡️ I love this space. But network effects are everything. Lose them — and even the rarest grails start to feel smaller. Stay smart, stay curious, and collect with eyes open. 💡

I read a post saying 3 posts together in a 🧵 work best, for full visibility, algorithm & more space. Similarly, if a pickup can furnish 3 pairings, it’s also best. Just got @StephenCurry30 Kaboom Gold 1/10 from 25DEF/Safari. Steph’s very 1st Kaboom Gold on #PaniniBlockchain.
