I’ve had some rough days, but today was one of the toughest. I had to say goodbye to my best friend of 12 years. 12 years ago, she fell asleep in my arms when she was just 8 weeks old on the way home from the shelter. And today she fell asleep in my arms on her way to her new home in Heaven. Chloe, thanks for the years of snuggles, frolicking in oceans, being my camping & hiking buddy, and smiling on every walk with me. I will see you someday 🫶🏼

@HorseToWatch It happens to all people who cap all the time. I only handicap big days and weekends now. Overall? You do a solid thorough job for a long time. Roll with it.

No sugarcoating it— The year’s Derby, Preakness, and Belmont cards were 3 of my worst handicapping performances of the entire year. The daily grind has been going pretty well, but failures on these big days do shake your confidence.
