@TownofWhitby bang up job making sure the roads were not icy this morning. Im not sure who gave every roads works employee the morning off but that was stupid. Roads are crap and not a single salt/sand truck to be seen.

Earlier this week, I met with @Metrolinx to receive a briefing on the Lakeshore East corridor. I asked when we could expect the Express GO Train to return. Unfortunately, no new information or commitments were made. Express service was supposed to return in Summer 2024 but there has been no update or explanation to Ajax and Durham Region commuters which is unacceptable.   Metrolinx staff in the briefing agreed to share my concerns with senior management and will be getting back to me. It is crucial that our community receives a clear and transparent update, including detailed information and timelines about the work that impacts the resumption of Express GO service. With recent news of major employers in downtown Toronto requiring employees to be in-office, it is critical that the Express GO Train on the Lakeshore East corridor comes back as soon as possible.   @GOtransit

@Rob4Ajax @Metrolinx Im a LSE rider from Whitby I was told its because they removed the 3rd line and cant run express, how does Via run express? Metrolinx doesnt care that it causes an impact on commute times with cars packed. LSE is the busiest line with the poorest service! 15m train is useless!

@GOtransit Lakeshore East express trains were supposed to return this month what is the status? Tired of being squished on the rush hour trains! Other lines have had express trains for over a year why is LE not being provided the same service?
