I toured the Port of Hamilton yesterday, the largest port in Ontario and a critical trade link for the Great Lakes. As we work to build a more competitive and resilient economy that can stand up to tariffs, our sea ports, airports and other trade infrastructure are more important than ever.

Pleased to join my colleagues @SylviaJonesMPP and @DavidPiccini to announce further investment as part of our 2026 Ontario Budget for the Primary Care Action Plan—now totalling $3.4B. Our government is also supporting 124 new or expanded primary care teams, helping connect up to 500,000 more people in Ontario to care. This means doctors can focus on what they do best - providing high-quality care, closer to home. 🔗news.ontario.ca/en/release/100…

One year ago today, I was honoured to be re-appointed as Ontario’s Minister of Colleges and Universities, with the addition of Research Excellence and Security to my portfolio. Over the past year, we’ve been hard at work strengthening our world-class postsecondary and research sectors. From $160 million to drive homegrown innovation, to nearly 200,000 newly funded seats, to a $6.4B historic funding model, it's been a year of building our talent pipeline and ensuring Ontario remains on the cutting edge of innovation. I'm proud of the progress we've made, and I can't wait to see all we will accomplish in the year to come.

Ontario’s Primary Care Action Plan has beaten its 2025-2026 attachment targets, connecting more than 330,000 people to primary care since it was launched last year. We’re building on this success with a new Primary Care Medical Record system that will make health care more connected, secure and convenient for patients across Ontario. We’re also launching 124 new primary care teams provincewide and increasing overall funding for the plan to a historic $3.4 billion.

@AssociationDrp agree with concerns raised by @Chief_Moreira as well as Politicians of all levels in relation to the decisions by CSC. Public safety should always remain the number one focus. The safety of the community and its residents is paramount and we support the Chief and @DRPS in their decision to address this matter.

"Electricity is not simply consumed by the economy, it enables it." With demand skyrocketing, Ontario has a competitive advantage — a 25-year energy roadmap to generate more reliable power, North, South, East, and West. Ontario's Integrated Energy Plan sets in motion 16,000 MW of net-new nuclear/hydro power, along with expanded transmission and storage. A forward-looking plan to grow our economy through energy abundance, independence, and export. ipolitics.ca/2026/03/17/ont…

I was thrilled to announce $29 million in water infrastructure funding for Perth and Wellington counties yesterday, which will support more than 5,500 homes. Across Ontario, we’re investing more than $220 billion through the largest infrastructure plan in our history to build homes, hospitals, school, transit, highways and more.
