Me, at 18: I can do whatever I want. Me, at 40: I can do whatever 800 mg of Ibuprofen will allow me to do.

@alexthechick You really ought to be at least as tall as a toddler if you're going to throw toddler fits.

@raymondgstanley I'll grant that there are probably more alternatives to bartenders than plumbers, but that's not the same thing as saying meeting that tier of human need is unimportant.

@raymondgstanley Disagree with qualifiers. Plumbers or something very like them is necessary to meet a lower Maslow tier. That does not mean that many of the most important things that make us human aren't on the higher tiers.

Plumbers are 100 times more valuable to society than bartenders are. Hope this clears things up for you.

@CBKimbrell I definitely wouldn't make that choice, but I don't have the right to assume they don't know what they're doing. They may just have very, very different values than us, and the whole point of private property is to give each man the chance to seek what he, personally, values.

@CBKimbrell I mean, not necessarily. The whole point of money is to be spent on things that you personally value. It is possible that they personally value that particular land more than anything they could by for $26 million (after taxes, don't forget that).

@BH_Chronicles @greendragonhq Nice! I have a few friends in various parts of aerospace that are all clustered around Huntsville these days. I briefly worked for Rockwell Collins in Iowa but most of the people I knew there have moved to Huntsville, lol.

How can Republicans with a straight face say that Gavin Newsom destroyed California, then look at states like: Alabama Arkansas Kentucky Oklahoma Missouri Mississippi Louisiana Indiana And say these states are doing better ?

@helcnsharpe The thing I love most about this tweet is that it's an absolute non-sequitur and only the terminally online could possibly have any clue why your tweet and the OP are related.

@ingelramdecoucy It also doesn't help that all new war movies are about the horrors and emotional trauma of war. Some war movies are supposed to be about the glory and courage and nobility of war. There hasn't been a war movie made like that in decades that I can recall.

We should’ve moved on from WWII stories to Cold War stories with the USSR as the Big Bad ages ago, it was the next logical place to go, but Hollywood couldn’t bring themselves to do it because it’s run by a bunch of commies who think the Reds were the good guys

I feel like we've reached the end of WW2 movies. All of the interesting stories have been told. Now we get movies about black women sorting mail in England and the meteorologist that did the weather forecast for D-Day.

@AbdulElSayed Out of a job? Government is allowing rampant H1B abuse. Can't afford a home? Government is subsidizing rental while also making SFDs the only sound investment. No healthcare? Government screwed that up so many ways I can't fit them in a tweet. It's us vs government.

Out of a job? A corporation offshored or automated your job. Can't afford a home? A corporation is speculating on the home you should've been able to afford. No healthcare? Health insurance companies know exactly how to price you out. It's us vs. corporate greed. Every time.

@4nt1p4tt3rn We will of course do no such things, because no one ever votes to fix a terrible problem that will hurt their children by agreeing to pay more themselves or face uncertainty themselves.

@4nt1p4tt3rn Things no generation wants to hear Part 2: The only way we could possibly improve this is to repeal 95% of the regulations pertaining to healthcare and health insurance, ban employers from providing health insurance, and make everyone pay for their own regular medical expenses.

Things the younger generation don't want to hear: Doctors used to have their own practices. They knew your history, your family's history, who you were, what you liked/disliked, you saw the same doctor every time, you could get an appointment sometime the same day, or just walk in without one, and out-of-pocket was less than $100 for a ton of things. Sometimes free. And there was no insurance involvement, no unnecessary, expensive tests, and they wanted to cure you, not dispense drugs.
Wall Street Apes@WallStreetApes

American has Cigna health insurance Her daughter was sick, she takes her to the doctor thinking it would likely be at most a couple hundred bucks with insurance All they did was a nose swab for the flu She just got the bill It’s $984 “What the f*ck is going on, what do you mean by a thousand dollars for a Q-tip up a nostril” The American healthcare system is legalized robbery
