@NataniaMarshall If you think a home increased in value by 600% over 20 years when most of the 20 years were pretty stagnant, then you're an idiot making up numbers

People who make under $65k per year should pay 0% income tax. It’s absurd we ask them to pay anything at all.

@AELeighton2 @87shenanigans okay? if they can afford it, great! If they want free money from the government (no property tax) then they have to live modestly. we're not subidizing people's empty bedrooms, that's crazy!!! we are $40 trillion in debt.

@ClankStarr I owned a restaurant for years, this sign is rude. I would take my business elsewhere.

@ClankStarr No tip necessary or... no tips accepted? Waitstaff hates mandatory tipping, why would they want it just rolled into the price? They're not getting that extra 20% as the restaurant is going to take a cut out of that. You probably would have to raise prices 30%.

@BH_Chronicles @Kontrastmittel @LouisWoodhill @Alonso_GD If the tips and hourly wage don't equal 7.15/hr then the company has to pay the difference. Being a server should never be a career choice unless it's for upscale restaurants since those waiters can actually make bank on tips.

@esaagar Most seniors are not rich, despite what your disinformation overlords tell you to speak on Twitter.

If you spent $10,000 a day, every single day, it would take you 250 years to spend $1 billion. That’s a lot of ballroom.

@LJS527 What “debt crisis”? Property taxes don’t go the federal government, brainiac. South Carolina (her state) runs on a surplus. So what debt crisis do you mean?

This is wildly stupid. One of the main benefits of being a senior is that you've had many, many, many years to accumulate wealth—especially through an appreciating asset like a home. Property taxes are logical, and getting rid of them would only further explode the debt crisis
Nancy Mace@NancyMace

Our seniors should not pay property taxes.

@sbarrett15035 @jeremyct Electricity bill isn’t about the amount of electricity being used but by the stupid preset delivery of electricity cost. You should know this by now

How am I supposed to pay: $1,400 rent $180 electric $90 water $85 internet $160 car insurance $320 car note Every month. On $17 an hour. That’s $2,720 a month after taxes. My bills are $2,235. That leaves $485. For food, Gas, Clothes, Emergencies, Life. And they want to know why I’m not saving for retirement.

Quick math: $7.27 = federal minimum wage × 40 hours × 52 weeks = $15,080/year Federal poverty line for a single adult: $14,580 So if you work full time at minimum wage you make... $500 above the poverty line. Before taxes. Before rent. Before anything. And they say the system rewards hard work. it rewards something. Not sure it's that.

I just wanted to see a baseball game while I was in St Louis. It is completely unaffordable anymore to take your kid to a baseball game!
