The best thing we can do for our kids right now is to just let them be kids. Kids are getting cell phones sooner than any generation before them, screen times are up while real human connection is down, and foundational skills aren’t being taught enough these days. We need to take a step back. It’s why I just signed a bipartisan bill into law, requiring cursive handwriting to once again be taught in PA public schools. It’s also why I’ve called on the legislature to pass a bill requiring schools to both implement a bell-to-bell cell phone ban and guarantee recess for every Pennsylvania student.  Let’s continue our work to set young people on a path to success — and let our kids be kids.

What’s your all-time favorite college basketball team? I’ve got 1983 NC State. If you remember the ultimate Cinderella run those kids went on, you damn sure know why. Jimmy V forever.

I had no idea: Greenville, S.C., is an awesome city. Legit really cool downtown district. Great restaurants and good vibes. I feel like this is the best kept secret on the East Coast?

I don’t think Abraham Lincoln is someone you would describe as having “little to no introspection”
David Senra@davidsenra

Great men of history had little to no introspection. The personality that builds empires is not the same personality that sits around quietly questioning itself. @pmarca and I discuss what we both noticed but no one talks about: David: You don't have any levels of introspection? Marc: Yes, zero. As little as possible. David: Why? Marc: Move forward. Go! I found people who dwell in the past get stuck in the past. It's a real problem and it's a problem at work and it's a problem at home. David: So I've read 400 biographies of history’s greatest entrepreneurs and someone asked me what the most surprising thing I’ve learned from this was [and I answered] they have little or zero introspection. Sam Walton didn't wake up thinking about his internal self. He just woke up and was like: I like building Walmart. I'm going to keep building Walmart. I'm going to make more Walmarts. And he just kept doing it over and over again. Marc: If you go back 400 years ago it never would've occurred to anybody to be introspective. All of the modern conceptions around introspection and therapy, and all the things that kind of result from that are, a kind of a manufacture of the 1910s, 1920s. Great men of history didn't sit around doing this stuff. The individual runs and does all these things and builds things and builds empires and builds companies and builds technology. And then this kind of this kind of guilt based whammy kind of showed up from Europe. A lot of it from Vienna in 1910, 1920s, Freud and all that entire movement. And kind of turned all that inward and basically said, okay, now we need to basically second guess the individual. We need to criticize the individual. The individual needs to self criticize. The individual needs to feel guilt, needs to look backwards, needs to dwell in the past. It never resonated with me.

A key in the game tomorrow btw @TexasMBB vs @PackMensBball -NCSU must keep Texas from going to the free throw line as they’re top 5 in the nation in getting to the foul line .Longhorns must D the 3 ball as the Wolfpack make 10.4 per game-first TEAM that plays D will face @BYUMBB

Yes the talent is better but the teams are worse because they have no chemistry, no experience playing together or for that system. So you have some unbelievable talents playing for teams that could win by 30 one night and lose by 30 the next.
Seth Davis@SethDavisHoops

I've noticed the same people who have been saying that the talent level and quality of college basketball is as good as it's been in decades (due to internationals, NIL etc) are also saying over and over again that this is the worst bubble ever. Can both things be true?

It's not being falsely modest, simply because I had nothing to do with it, but I'm gonna brag on brother Jim and his "forgotten" ACC championship. Everybody knows about the 1983 SURVIVE AND ADVANCE team. But in 1987, State entered the ACC tournament (in Landover Md.) as the 6 seed. Beat Duke in OT in first round, beat Wake in DOUBLE OT in semis, then beat UNC who was 16-0 in ACC games, ranked #2, 68-67 for championship. An OT, a 2OT, and a one point win over undefeated team. For the championship. That's kinda dramatic too, no?
