What is the barrier? Do not enough try for it? Is there an expectation that one has to rise through design ranks and no other discipline? It’s all very strange to me.

I often wonder how many people who have never trained in #animation realize that the craft is a storytelling medium? Like, many have traditionally been trained to tell stories. Schools expect short films for graduation. Cinematography, layout, pacing are all taught.

@Anim8der Animators above almost all, have the ability to visualize what something may look/play like, whether it be a sequence or a composed shot in cinematics, or gameplay mechanics and how they work together, it’s literally how game dev animators think on a daily basis….

@Anim8der ….I did a lot of reading, core stability became the focus around 1 month from surgery, everyday. 3 months out back to the gym, now 8 months out and aside from deadlifts and squats(keeping those light) I’m back to normal. With your work ethic you can get there, stay positive!

@Anim8der Keep your head up, I Had 20mm piece of herniated L3 disc break off and float down around L5 pinching my sciatic nerve, after surgery, Dr’s told me I’d likely have issues for life, lifting weights was a thing of the past…

Welp. 2 week surgery followup today. No PT can start for at least another 4 weeks. Was also told that it may take a year to fully heal & that “high impact and weight training” can’t happen for at least 6 months. I’m gonna go batshit insane. And I’m kinda bummed out right now.
