My son just looked at the television and said "Daddy, do you think these rioters will register to vote?" He's a 46 year old Vox journalist and I hate him so fucking much.

Made soup yesterday and used every bit of the cauliflower, stalk and greens etc. Also used all the leafy celery greens. Tastes great, zero waste, free greens. It's all upside! You can't lose!

Trying to think of other examples but not that many come to mind. You can eat the stalks of coriander (in fact I've minced and fried it into curries and it's great), plus the roots are an ingredient in many Thai curry pastes; green onion/onion roots can go into stocks.

It's all edible. Silverbeet stems taste great in butter and garlic (what doesn't?). Kale stems are bitter but if you cook them in the same way they come good. Carrot greens get you a ton of greens and you can make pesto out of them. Did you know this? Why didn't they tell us?

Greene creates his own version of Esperanto, called Entrenationo. There's a tense scene at the language school, punctuated hilariously by people saying "bona nuche, gentilbono" and "a woman squeaking a mysterious phrase that sounded something like 'Nougat'."

Greene shows a strong contempt for fascism but really the book takes place in the strange, sleeping peace of England before WWII. He makes the country look so absurd. There's a description of a Jewish character that is wildly anti-semitic, and a "Siamese" man is, yes, inscrutable

Most of the time my feed is all Iran War stuff and AFL drama. Both completely manufactured and unnecessary spectacles born from the minds of dying elites in the imperial core. If I don't pay attention I'll come to work tomorrow and say "Essendon only has 3 weeks of diesel left."

this was the exact model i first owned and it actually changed my life. the area that i could explore without a car grew massively, i grew fitter and i felt more connected to the city and nature. you dont need to become a 'bike guy' to use one. + it connects to the train network!

Good-quality second-hand ebike = $1000 Kryptonite chain lock = $100 Bike service = ~$150/year Anti-theft insurance = ~$15/month Electricity cost = like nothing Milk crate = free This one is mid-drive pedal-assist, meaning it feels natural and you choose the level of exercise

@cormac_mccafe69 It's especially bad in NSW. Growing up it was so normal to go to the pub and watch a guy just feed $50 notes into the machines like it was his job. Pubs in Victoria don't seem to have them as much. It's like a foundational part of NSW pub and club culture.

It makes sense that Saxon is at least 20 because any Elon child younger than 10 is named something like 'X The Everything Boy' or 'Age Of Empires 2: Definitive Edition'

I don't use Reddit often but I always see it. I think it's because Redditors primarily work in a kind of job that is neither blue nor white collar, like an office with a warehouse or a warehouse in an office park and they use computers all day but don't have to wear dress shoes.
