I don't think I've ever been more sad, disappointed, frustrated and upset with the online gaming community and subsequent circles I frequent in their entirety, as I have today. With all information presently available, here is my take on the DrDisrespect and Midnight Society situation: ANYONE that knows me, or has seen anything I've written publicly on social media knows that I am a firm believer of transparency and truth. Fact, logic, and impartiality drive me and the decisions I make--and have so for the MANY years I've been present in this space. As a civilized society, and in an era where so many opinions and feelings are weighed over logic and fact, we owe it to ourselves in the name and respect of impartial due process, to withhold such finite judgements until a proper line from accusation to fact is made possible with impartial evidence available for ALL to see. At the time of this post, literally ZERO and I mean NOTHING has yet been presented as evidence to support the allegations that have been levied against @DrDisrespect. Meaning, at the very time of this post, not one SINGLE concrete line can be made from allegation to fact, and quite literally everything in between is entirely conjecture, meaning other's opinions, feelings, and assumptions; ZERO FACT OR PROOF. My vehement defense of impartial due process and logic in general, along with a drive to withhold ANY judgement until proper evidence is presented is constantly misunderstood and misinterpreted for defense of DrDisrespect and the allegations against him, which I am NOT doing, as I do not have the necessary information required to make such a defense or judgement. While I have always maintained that I'm a fan of DrDisrespect, and respect him as a colleague, who's pioneered in this space, it should go without saying, that I firmly stand against ANYONE who solicits themselves to minors and breaks the law, BUT before I pass judgement on them, or agree that an accusation implying as such is true, to maintain my participation in the online world as a civilized member of society with logic and reasoning, there ABSOLUTELY MUST be clear evidence to support ANY claims, again, thus making the line from accusation to fact clear for ALL to see. I have also always been respected as much (at least according to them) by those in Leadership at Midnight Society for my ability to always be candid and transparent, regardless of the topic, however, with that in mind the fact that the studio itself (@12am), which was only even made possible because of DrDisrespect, made the decision to abruptly terminate him PRIOR to any facts or evidence being made public is not only wrong, but entirely circumvents due process, and does so with verbiage that hints of possible wrongdoing. Even if it turns out to be true and with evidence later presented down the road, if Midnight Society learned something that the public doesn't know AS OF RIGHT NOW, by virtue of communicating with parties involved as they claimed in their statement (source: x.com/12am/status/18…), I'd argue that they have a moral and ethical obligation to make that very information PUBLIC simply due to the weight of the allegations, so that EVERYONE can understand their decision. NOT doing so only contributes to the already existing and overwhelming speculation and conjecture, which completely tarnishes a Man's image, brand, livelihood and also subsequently drags his family, including wife and child through the mud of online gossip and speculation, and THAT is just as wrong if not egregious in of itself, as not maintaining their principles and standards as a studio with ALL individuals included, as they state is their reasoning for their decision to sever ties. I've publicly supported Midnight Society to an unparalleled level, proudly subjugating my own online career to early on, to piece by piece build out the substantial mass of their Day 0 Community and give life to the sub community within their Discord server that was known as Conspiracy Theory Clues (related to their ARGs). I've been interviewed by the studio itself a total of 5 times, and was even part of the first wave of mods that became their Night Command, though I was removed against my will, still, I remained in support of this project as a resource and Leader to many of it's Community members, to this very day. I maintain a LOT of respect for the studio's Leadership, and have even befriended some throughout the years, however in the interest of transparency, I fear that their decision was premature and should have only been made once evidence was made widely available to show an impartiality to those involved. It's okay to disagree, which is wild to even say, but because the internet is the internet, I wanted to be as specific as possible. That respect is unwavering, and friendships still valued greatly, but respectfully, I disagree with the existing approach, and that should be okay. If the allegations end up being true, than DrDisrespect should face the appropriate consequences as made available for crimes committed for any illicit behavior taken place. However IF the allegations end up NOT being true, so many of you who acted prematurely and only with conjecture, NOT ONLY owe that Man, his family, his brand, and all involved employees one hell of an apology, but you should also be ashamed of yourselves for acting as such without so much as a shred of verifiable evidence to support such an equally egregious accusation. Ultimately, wrong is wrong, and I personally refuse to contribute to such degeneracy until evidence is brought forward and made public for EVERYONE to see, as any and all continued speculation with only conjecture available, moves the needle backwards in terms of progression as an online, civilized, society. Impartial due process, fairness and transparency should NEVER be discounted for ANYONE, PERIOD.
