The Knesset moves to legislate death. Not to change reality, but to declare it. For decades, Palestinians residing in occupied territory have been killed extrajudicially - without trial, without judgment, without consequence. That will tragically continue. This law does something else: it signals, plainly, that what is done in the occupied territory may yet be extended to Palestinian citizens of Israel, and to all those who dissent.

The Israeli Knesset just voted to execute Palestinian prisoners for terror-related crimes. The experience of my own younger brother - first designated a terrorist for lobbing stones at tanks aged 12 - suggests death penalty is about to become a key mechanism of Israeli genocide.

It is always empty condemnation without any concrete action. The bill will turn Israel's prisons into killing fields "for Palestinian prisoners only," and instead of suspending all diplomatic, economic, and military relations, the EU and the UK merely "express deep concern."
