I want to show non-traditional artforms, not just galleries/novels, so Ss learn that anyone can create art/beauty. I'd also like to inspire them to critically examine media they consume, even when it is "just a video game." As the above games fit the curriculum, it's a great fit!

This summer I've been working on bringing video games into my classroom, in a way that can be engaging and inspire critical- and creative-thinking, across the board. I've been making worksheets for those games, which I'm excited to use soon! So far I have 4 finished packets. ①

@twofalls I read that you'd like to see Two Falls in classrooms, especially for Indigenous kids, so I wanted to say that I intend to use it this year (and beyond), having played it recently. I'd like to make work packets about the story and codex. Can you help with that at all?

As a teacher I think other teachers should know that if you’re voting for the party that wants to destroy public education, deny free lunch to kids that need it, and force literal children to give birth, you should get a different job. You’re not qualified.

There’s recounting to be done, but what the people of B.C. really need now is a government that finds a way to work together for the people, not for their own thirst for power. @JohnRustad4BC’s vow to make things as difficult as possible for the NDP to govern and bring them down ASAP was incredibly disrespectful to B.C. voters who made their wishes known yesterday. I don’t think I’m alone in saying I’ve had enough of the hate, misinformation and divisiveness of this election cycle. We need a break.
