Hi Rich, we certainly wouldn't do it regularly but this was to celebrate our birthday and thank our volunteers, and was greatly appreciated by many. Runners could choose not to partake, or equally have the fruit that was also on offer.

@parkrun @stalbansparkrun Could we stop cakes at the end of runs please? It's not dissimilar to football/rugby players lighting up cigarettes at the end of a game in 1970s. Big weight problem cause is people over-estimating calories burnt by exercise and over-eating afterwards.
