Tommy Robinson comes from a traditional working class Irish catholic family in Luton. The sort whose cultural family values align with our own, as Muslims. Irish catholics were even discriminated against in England, and shared that experience of other-ised victimhood with British Muslims. And we have people online basically acting like it's nothing. Or compare it to a few islamophobic incidents in the UK.

And as you already know, Israel has already annexed a portion of Syria & basically fully controls the entire southern Syrian airspace & bombs them at will.

The Royingha - who have been literally genocided - are now unwanted & facing open discrimination in Muslim countries. Same with Syrian refugees. Etc.

Safety is an important aspect but it's only one aspect. The whole point of the Niqab is to act as a wall between you & society. That's literally the whole point. It's beautiful that you wish to emulate the Prophet's (SAW) wives, but their behavior was not limited to wearing the Niqab. They basically stayed at home for 99% of the time because that's literally what Allah SWT told them to do, which is conveniently ignored by many people: وَقَرْنَ فِى بُيُوتِكُنَّ "Remain in your homes" (Qur'an 33:33) The problem in modern times is that many Niqabis are trying to have it both ways. They don't want to be seen, but they also want to take part in society (get jobs, go to the shops etc.) But it doesn't work like that. It never worked that way in early Islam. The Niqab is a lifestyle. It's not simply a cloth. And it means staying at home for the vast majority of the time and not leaving at all unless absolutely essential.

@WDLD0712 @DavidTheJatt Option 1 is impossible even if the unlikely desire was there. People are actively fleeing from Muslim states for a good reason. We can't seriously expect the diaspora - who send billions in aid to help out those same states - to move the other way. That's nuts.

For the last few months, he has been on a literal crusade against Islam, and seems to refuse any sensible engagement with Muslims online or in person. But Cleese is (or was) too intelligent to believe such lies; a simple dialogue or search would clear up these misconceptions. It's obvious his emotions have gotten the better of his intelligence. To answer this simple garbling of facts: No one is saying that the early Islamic empires expanded through friendly persuasion alone; they politically expanded through military conquest, just as virtually every major empire in history did. The more relevant question is whether people were converted by force. On that point, the historical evidence is quite clear. Egypt, Persia, and other regions remained largely non-Muslim for centuries after conquest, while the world's largest Muslim populations today—such as Indonesia—became Muslim without invading armies. So the historical record points to a distinction between the spread of Muslim political rule and the spread of the Islamic faith itself. Any fair assessment should recognize both. More importantly, are you willing to apply your critique to your own civilization? Have you forgotten Britain's colonial history, and its boast of having an empire on which the sun never set, controlling over a quarter of the earth's population, subjugating hundreds of millions of peoples and fleecing the economies of many civilizations by force? Not to mention the entire mess of the modern Middle East...of which the lion's share is the direct fault of Britain with its Sykes-Picot agreement and Balfour Declaration? All civilizations acted with a level of political force to protect their interests, but some left greater and more noble legacies than others.

There's actually an interesting authentic report I read a long time ago. A group of Muslims went to Al Hassan Al Basri because they were concerned about non-Muslim women who were selling things in the marketplace. They wanted to buy the items but the women were uncovered, with their hair showing. So they asked him, is it permissible to buy from them? And if so, is it permissible to look at them? Al Hassan Al Basri responded: "Yes and yes. Provided it's without lust." I'll need to find this report.

@WDLD0712 And it has also never been true that it was sinful for women to work, even in areas where men would appear. Women (and men) used to buy & sell to each other all the time in the marketplaces, from the very beginning of Islam. That's an objective fact.

@WDLD0712 I don't get your point here though. It's literally never been true in Islam that you can't look at the opposite sex when talking to them. That has literally never been true. Merely looking has never been a sin. The sin was always looking with lust. Not merely looking.

@TypedInAnger I know the Hadith akhi, and your way of giving naseeha absolutely have no issue with it. But someone who is deep in Jahiliya and who is already calling themselves munafiq, I don’t see the hikma of telling them abandoning the salah = kufr.

Either say the truth or just shut it and don't mislead ppl into kufr
