@myeyemyview What effect does the size of the stones on the path have? I also have mixed feelings about feeders being provided year round. They’re not needed in the breeding season. I’m sorry if it affected your photography.

RSPB Geltsdale today. Goodness knows what this reserve is about, they've removed all the wire fences that small birds used to sit on. They've put these very large stones on the footpaths and removed the seed feeder cage. Very few small birds and a waste of time for photos

@bolderston_mark I had the 2 ltr automatic model. It was like riding in a comfortable armchair - unless there was any ‘proper’ driving to be done. It was lazy and an absolute pig on snow and ice. (Retired Grade 1 Police Driver.)

Why has “small little” suddenly become such an often-misused phrase in the English language? One can’t have ‘large little’, or ‘little large’, so why does small or little need qualifying? Presumably, it’s because increasingly large numbers of English speakers are barely literate.

@clark_aviation I was driven past Duxford when this was being filmed. To see the aircraft; real or dummy, parked on the field was incredible. I was born only three years after the end of the war, and it had quite an impact on me.
