🚨 Latest Opinium @ObserverUK poll 🚨 Even with this uptick in approval, Keir Starmer is still as unpopular as Rishi Sunak was when he left office. Notably, that’s after roughly the same time in office. A striking benchmark for where public opinion now sits.

The 150 homes they're opposing will be literally next door to the tube station. This is the perfect location for desperately needed new homes.

@ToryMemo82 World changing technology, but did the proponents of AI ever imagine it could be used for this?

I personally would love to see this mapped onto various consumer trends. Assumption being if the 10% take up a much bigger share of spending than in the 1990s, then the tastes of the top 10% must also be more prevalent in consumer trends too?
Peter Mallouk@PeterMallouk

This is 100% completely unsustainable as a society. Nearly 50% of all consumer spending now comes from the top 10% of earners. The bottom 80%? Their share keeps falling. This is why the economy can look strong in the data while millions of people feel like they're falling behind.

@dan_djs_ We're all working hard in one of the most volatile and unpredictable periods in electoral history. I'd be very disappointed if we all showed precisely the same thing this early on in this new pattern and this far away from a GE. IMHO I don't see what is to be gained from it all.

@MrJCrouch James, what do you think professionals working in the polling industry make of this. From where I’m sitting, this whole think smacks of spite from Reform who struggle to cope when a narrative doesn’t go their way. I, however, don’t work in polling! Thanks

Merely saying YouGov has a lower % for Reform than 3 other pollsters specifically chosen for their higher % is evidence of nothing. Also, when it says "unlike any other pollster", I believe Lord Ashcroft so far this year puts Reform even lower (last was 22%).
Patrick English@PME_Politics

In response to that Guido article which allegedly “exposes” YouGov’s biasing What we are doing is effectively, via MRP (the thing which gets elections right a lot), applying a likely voter model What the Guido post doesn’t tell you is that *every pollster does that*. All of us

@joshsimonsmp Which I do still think brings me back to a similar point: work should be socialised. And that will inevitably make it messier, things will go wrong because of that, but it will also be better for society.

@joshsimonsmp It came to my mind because I'm going to two colleagues' wedding later on this year! On a similar vein was how my grandparent's generation in my family met: they all ending up marrying the siblings of their fellow RAF airmen.
