The question for KU now becomes: What changes will Self make to get this team back to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament?
Will their approach to recruiting in the transfer portal be different? Will they hire a GM? Something has to give. #KUbball

@cjkorf Agree on Flory, too. If Zuby hits a 3 to beat you, hats off. But this all started because Elmarko played it all wrong. Didn’t give any sort of soft denial. No rneed to be in face. Make him work, force a contested jumper or a pass.

When player’s understand the game because of quality coaching, they make quality plays in late game situations😮💨

For any young/new/aspiring coach that doesn’t know this… Rule of thumb is a dribble takes a second. And it takes 4 dribbles to go the length of the court. Perfect example to show with 4+ seconds left you have time to go fullcourt to the rim💯

@cjkorf Allowing the guy to catch the ball on a run was the 1st mistake. Elmarko never had him in front. Make him go towards KU’s basket.

@coachlaw71 @RedditCFB Central beat South in the early 2000s doing this. It was wild…nobody in the stands knew what was going on. Central lined up to kick if off from well inside South territory. South coaches knew what might be coming and tried to punt it out of bounds.

What is the success of the pass rush or the success rate of the play for the offense when he drops into coverage? That would be an interesting comparison. The eye test says he should rush on 93% as well.

An interesting #KUfball stat... Leroy Harris III has a QB pressure rate of 15.7% this season. Austin Booker had a QB pressure rate of 16% in 2023. So, Harris is getting to the QB as often as Booker. But, Harris is rushing on 75% of the passing plays he's on the field for. Booker rushed on 93.7% of the passing plays he was on the field for.
