@michael_merrick Realise this is not quite on the point of what is expected of primary teachers etc, but still something I have noticed. Zero tolerance behaviour policies used in some secondaries Vs restorative - think this influences perception of primary behaviour, too.

@michael_merrick In my (limited) exp, primaries I've been in have used more restorative approaches than secondaries. I've seen and had success w restorative approaches to behaviour in secondary, but needs to be school-wide to be effective. Often seen as requiring more resources to be successful.

@tes @BorisJohnson If a student suggested that Lady Macbeth has more power than Macbeth "for all manner of reasons", I would not consider that adequate. How is this acceptable?

Prime minister @BorisJohnson says: "On balance, we think it is much better if we can keep schools open for all manner of reasons." However, he says "this is something we need to keep under review". #coronavirus #schoolclosures

@thatboycanteach Thank goodness we don't work in a sector requiring any close contact with other people, or I might have been worried.

#coronavirusuk Stop non-essential contact with others. Stop all unnecessary travel. Work from home where you can. Avoid pubs, clubs, theatres. Londoners especially. 12 weeks no contact for those at most risk. Mass gatherings not supported. news.sky.com/story/coronavi…
