Besigye Trial. How does the defense get to conduct its research and investigations on the six witnesses in preparation for the trial? How is the accused logically expected to challenge evidence given by anonymous witnesses in a matter where his life is on the line? Absurd.

Why don’t we just do away with this interim business if JOs are going to utilise the same time resources needed for the disposal of substantive appns?

Bail applications by Besigye, Waiswa et al. have been denied because State and Court insisted there was a likelihood of interefere with witnesses. Now, State is trying to hide the same witnesses. First, you keep them in jail and now you refuse to show them some witnesses. Why??

A lawyer is not supposed to be paid like a chicken feeds seller, all fees to pay a lawyer are stipulated in the Advocates (Remuneration & Taxation of Costs) Regulations.
Once your lawyer starts charging you without referring to the law, be sure that you are not the right client.

This comedian allegedly took a 300m loan to pin over 20,000 banners to boost his visibility ahead of NUP vetting and gather info on the best candidate for Nasana Municipality. He also gave away family property without their knowledge. After losing the elections, he's seeking ways to get compensated by Museveni and has been tasked to blackmail NUP and our President, claiming he paid 500m for the NUP ticket. He has no evidence, but wants to appease the regime to recover family assets. Warning: the President HE BobiWine doesn't deal with such nonsense, and some NUP members won't tolerate attacks on our party's image. We'll deal with you legally. Secondly, crying while professing blackmail won't pay back the loan you took. Organise yourself, be a man, go work, and pay off the loan.
