میرے بیٹے یوسف علی قلندرانی کے خلاف جاری تھری ایم پی او آرڈر میں ایک بار پھر توسیع کر دی گئی ہے۔ یاد رہے کہ انہیں 17 اگست کی شب، ان کے گھر کلفٹن کراچی سے اغوا کیا گیا تھا۔ دو ماہ اور پانچ دن تک لاپتہ رکھنے کے بعد انہیں خضدار سے منظرِ عام پر لا کر تھری ایم پی او کے تحت سینٹرل جیل خضدار منتقل کیا گیا۔ اس کے بعد 23 اکتوبر کو ان کے تھری ایم پی او آرڈر میں توسیع کی گئی، اور اب ایک مرتبہ پھر اس میں اضافہ کر دیا گیا ہے۔ دو ماہ جبری گمشدگی کے بعد، وہ گزشتہ دو ماہ سے جیل میں قیدِ تنہائی کا سامنا کر رہے ہیں۔ ملاقاتوں پر مکمل پابندی ہے اور اہلِ خانہ کو بھی محدود طور پر ملنے کی اجازت دی گئی ہے۔ یوسف علی قلندرانی کے اہلِ خانہ، اہلِ جماعت، قبائل اور اہلِ علاقہ اس صورتحال پر شدید تشویش اور احتجاج کا اظہار کرتے ہیں۔ بغیر کسی عدالتی فیصلے کے ایک منتخب چیئرمین کو اس طرح قید میں رکھنا انسانی حقوق کی سنگین خلاف ورزی ہے۔ بطورِ والد، میں واضح طور پر مطالبہ کرتا ہوں کہ اس معاملے کو فوری طور پر شفاف عدالتی عمل کے ذریعے حل کیا جائے اور انصاف میں مزید تاخیر بند کی جائے

After more than two months of disappearance, my brother Mir Yousaf Qalandrani was finally surfaced on 23 October only to be detained under 3-MPO, without any valid reason or allegation. And the painful truth is that here in Balochistan, even an unjust detention becomes something a family holds onto with gratitude, because at least it means he is alive and no longer erased. This is what our reality has been reduced to: we are grateful not for justice, not for freedom, not for truth but for the mere confirmation of existence. We thank the state for custody, because the alternative is silence and a grave we are not even allowed to see. We are thankful to every voice that helped bring him back to light, and now we pray for the next miracle that he comes home, not as a “detainee,” but as a son and a brother who belongs with his family.

Mir Yusuf Qalandrani was abducted from his residence in Karachi on 17th August 2025 by a men travelling in multiple police mobiles and black vigos. For two months his family protested without any result. On 3rd October the family submitted an application with the Commission on Inquiry of Enforced Disappearances through Defence of Human Rights. On 17th October Yousuf's family finally submitted an application for FIR with PS Gizri. The Police though received the application refused to register a FIR following which we filed an application under 22A with District & Sessions Judge Karachi South which is fixed tomorrow for hearing. Suddenly, yesterday it was revealed that Yousuf, who has been abducted from Karachi, has been released in Khuzdar only to be detained a few hours later under MPO. This was done to avoid scrutiny and investigation into his abduction and to provide legal cover to his arbitrary detention. Yousuf Qalandrani is an elected official from the JUI-F serving as UC Chairman of UC Tootak, District Khuzdar. His three brothers abducted from Tootak in 2011 remain missing till date. In 2014 three mass graves were uncovered in Tootak, Khuzdar. While some rights organizations claimed the number of bodies discovered to be 169 the Govt refuted and claimed the number to be 15. A judicial commission formed by Govt of Dr Abdul Malik later absolved the armed forces and intel agencies in the mass graves inquiry. Tootak has also been terrorised by death squads run by Shafiq Mengal who though a relative of the Qalandrani tribe is also a political rival. Though the death squads stopped operation in between it was reported in early 2025 that Shafiq Mengal was active again in Tootak.

Mir Yousaf Ali Khan Qalandrani, who had been missing for the past two months, has been recovered and handed over to the Khuzdar district administration. He has been transferred to the Central Jail Khuzdar under Section 3 MPO. Forever grateful for everyone’s efforts and prayers.

My brother, Mir Yousaf Ali, has been missing for nearly 2 months. We still have no news about his wellbeing or whereabouts. These past weeks have been the hardest, filled with uncertainty, and hope that he’ll return safely but we also demand answers and accountability.

Mir Bohair was only 5 months old when his father Mir Atiq Qalandrani was abducted in 2011. Our family has carried these wounds for years as Mir Khalil and Mir Waseem remain missing. Now, with the abduction of our brother Mir Yousaf Ali Qalandrani the pain has deepened.

In these pictures, Yousaf is right beside Baba where he always belonged. He was more than a son, he was Baba’s strength, his shoulder, his support, and the calm in his every storm. Today marks the 30th day since Yusuf was forcibly taken from Baba, simply because they refused to bow before the instruments of oppression. For 30 days, Baba has lived without his companion, without the son who carried his burdens silently, without the presence that made his world lighter. Every step he takes feels heavier, every moment emptier, every breath longing for Yousaf jan. Ya Allah, return him to us.
