@FortWayneCPA This exact situation happened to me Mike. Have to track down the certified mailing receipts and fax it over to an IRS agent that isn't clueless / willing to help. If the 2553 was mailed outside the 3 year window, they will say tough luck but i've had success escalating the issue

Who is dealing with 2-3 S Corporations, where the IRS is claiming they never received the forms 3-5 years ago and they are trying to invalidate them now. Note all of these were handled by the "PRIOR" firm. What is the best way to resolve... The IRS has made a total mess of this and I now a lot of us are still dealing with it.
