Steven Spielberg really wanted to direct a ‘CALL OF DUTY’ movie. • His team pitched his vision for the film to Activision • Activision got spooked by Spielberg wanting full control over the film so they sold the rights to Paramount instead (Source: puck.news/newsletter_con…)

SB 3 HAS BEEN VETOED! Governor @GregAbbott_TX has shown the people of Texas who he works for — proving that truth, freedom, and the voices of Texans still matter. By vetoing SB 3, he stood with millions of Texans, protected 53,000+ jobs,— and rejected the lies, donors, and Dan Patrick’s propaganda crusade. Governor Abbott showed real leadership today. Texas is stronger for it. #VetoSB3 #txlege #TexasHemp #BanDanPatrick #SB3

Smoke and vape shops in Texas are pushing dangerously high levels of THC to our kids and adults in over 8,000 locations, many of which are within 1,000 to 2,000 feet from our schools. Since the legislature has just passed Senate Bill 3 to ban these shops and has sent the bill to the governor to become law, they will stop at nothing to keep their massive profits from selling these highly potent products. Now, the THC industry is pushing phony polls to support their position. These nonsense polls are based on questions they write to slant the answers in their favor, a common polling trick. The polling numbers they claim have zero credibility. Real polls are based on straightforward “fact questions” that tell the full story. As more and more republicans learn about dangerous, highly potent THC sold near our schools, the more they support the ban the legislature passed. These are the real polling numbers on this issue from Republican voters. The pollster is Mike Baselice. Mike is a long-time pollster for many elected officials in Texas, and President Trump. Law enforcement doesn’t need polls. They are on the front lines and already know the truth. Just last week, Gov. Abbott and I received a letter from virtually every major law enforcement organization in Texas in full support of SB 3, imploring us to ban dangerous THC. In great detail, their letter debunks every phony argument the smoke shop industry has pushed. As the police chief of Tomball Texas said “these stores are nothing other than a drug deal.”

Dan Patrick: “What we’ve done this session… we’re eradicating bad actors who are poisoning our community-children and adults- and making a massive profit off the backs of people in pain and people who have gotten hooked on THC and some very terrible outcomes and we’ve wiped them out. And now we’re building the biggest compassionate use program probably launched in the country.” #txlege
