I just filed this complaint with the Federal Election Commission against the Republican Party of Florida and Congressional Candidate Evan Power. Evan Power filed to run for Congress in Florida's second Congressional District in January. After he filed, the Republican Party of Florida should have taken action to eliminate even the PERCEPTION that they were doing anything to contribute to his campaign in a way that conflicts with federal law. Since he filed, the party has been promoting him on their social media accounts, and it appears that the amount of sycophantic glazing has ramped up as we get closer to the primary election, with 10 posts just this month tagging the account he uses to promote his campaign for office. This exceeds the number of posts from any other month in the past year, and the month isn't over yet. I filed with the FEC instead of going through the party hierarchy/grievance process because I have no faith that the party would handle this without external pressure being applied. We should not allow our party to be used as a firm to give an unfair advantage to one candidate over another in our own primaries. That isn't fair to voters, that isn't fair to candidates, donors, and volunteers who are spending their time, money, and energy to campaign.

Do you understand that this is actually HIS FAULT? This isn’t any kind of victim thing. The guy has no capacity to run this state. Have you been through the actual devastation of one of the hurricanes recently? Why are you playing make believe about LIVES in this state? They DOOR TO DOOR in Helene looking for dead. That guy has the emotional maturity of a house fly. You probably haven’t thought of that. Just that he is some sort of “victim” because that’s all you hear. I have been in multiple spaces against him. He is a meme candidate and you need to get some more intellectual curiosity.
