With 3 1/3 scoreless ip today, Mets' bullpen has a 1.66 ERA, second-best in MLB behind Braves (1.08). Four key relievers have yet to give up a run: Brazoban, Weaver, Raley, Williams. And Myers (1.13) has emerged as much-needed multi-inning weapon.

Such a great piece of situational hitting by Torrens, key AB in 5-2 win over SF. Battled back from 1-2 count in 8-pitch AB, then stayed with a 3-2 change-up off the outside corner, poked it to RF for two-run, go-ahead double. After rough start Mets starting to hit in clutch.

Didn't have Vientos hitting .533 out of the gate - 3-for-3 so far tonight as Mets are piling it on Giants. He's turned on pitches with his power but also looks comfortable taking the outside pitch to RF, which he did so well in '24. Mendoza needs to ride him while he's hot.

my point here isn’t that Alonso and Nimmo are as valuable as Judge
but they provided a significant part of the Mets offense every single season
and instead Stearns decided to blame them for our collapse, while keeping the starting pitching core that was truly responsible !!
