You’re misunderstanding what the Hajar al-Aswad represents in Islam. Muslims do not worship the stone. We worship only Allah . the One and only God. Touching or kissing Hajar al-Aswad is an act of respect and اتباع (following) the practice of the Prophet Muhammad, not worship. It’s similar to how people show respect to religious symbols without worshipping them. Even the great companion Umar ibn al-Khattab clearly said: “I know that you are just a stone and cannot benefit or harm. Had I not seen the Prophet kiss you, I would not have done so.” So there is no paganism here .only obedience and love for the Prophet’s tradition. We respect that you follow Jesus Christ, and in Islam we also honor him as a noble prophet but we believe worship belongs to God alone, not to any creation.

I swear by Allah, he is so lucky. Can you imagine? He does this routine after every prayer.
