@DavidBozell You are 100% correct on this David. It happens because Republicans let it happen, though. With single digit exceptions, they are some combination of corrupt, dumb and weak. They control all power in Washington and could fix this and so many other things if they really wanted.

This morning, Apple News put Politico’s full-screen image of Chuck Schumer with a sign claiming Republicans blocked TSA funding “8 times” in front of its reportedly 125 million users.
Republicans in the Senate need to get real about what sport they’re playing. They don’t have a messaging problem. They have a distribution problem. When polling suggests Republicans are to blame for TSA lines, this distribution bias is why.
So the current reality is this:
1. One side controls mass information distribution
2. The other side is constraining itself by the supermajority rules
3. 100+ million Americans are seeing one version of the story
This mismatch is not sustainable, politically.
Democrats do not care about election security, TSA lines or homeland defense, and they simply don’t need to. Apple does the work for them.
Senate Republicans could fold like they normally do or they could change the Senate rules to allow for up-or down simple majority votes on national security and election security legislation.
The latter is fast becoming their only option out of this.

The worst part about this dramatic time in our history is the constant character assassination.
@ambermarieduke is a great American, an amazing journalist and, most importantly, a good person. We are lucky to have her as Editor-in-Chief at the Daily Caller.
For the crime of conducting a fair interview with Joe Kent (watch for yourself; anyone but a rabid partisan will agree) she's now being smeared by the very worst actors for bad jokes she shared as a high school kid with her Jewish boyfriend.
It's disgusting. The good news is that this cancelation playbook doesn't work any more.

Kent wants to help Charlie Kirk’s assassin walk free, which is why Kent has continued to spread lies about Charlie’s death and has continued to undermine the integrity of the investigation into Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Any respectable reporter would have grilled Kent on this, but that’s why Kent did his interview with Daily Caller. He wanted a soft ball interview, so he interviewed with Daily Caller, a safe zone, as it was cofounded by Tucker Carlson @TuckerCarlson, who also peddles blood libels. Amber Duke is actually named Amber Athey. Duke is her married name. As you can see below, Athey, much like Kent and Tucker, the founder of the media company she now works for, has a history of anti-Jewish behavior. In one tweet, Athey said, “how many jews can fit in a clown car? 1002. 2 in the seats and 1000 in the ash trays. sorry.” In another tweet, Athey said, “what happens when a jew with an erection walks into a wall? they break their nose.” When you see these tweets, you understand why Kent ran to Daily Caller and specifically Amber “Duke” for an “exclusive interview” about his resignation, which was rooted in anti-Israel and anti-Jewish conspiracy theories. It should be obvious to everyone that Daily Caller, Tucker Carlson, and Joe Kent all have a type. At some point, people have to stop denying the stench of Jew hate that follows Tucker Carlson and Joe Kent everywhere they go. This is what they represent and promote. This essay is excellent.
If those in power in Washington don’t heed its warnings, we are in trouble. I’m thinking mostly of Congress which, even after all the political turmoil of the past decade, is still responsive only to donors and organized interest groups.
Things like the cap on credit card interest and institutional home buying should be layups. Average Americans have had it with a leadership that’s totally unresponsive to their lives.
If that doesn’t change, the worst scenarios in this essay will tragically come true.

It’s hard not to notice the role of religion, and specifically Christianity, in college and pro football. Anyone who watched games last weekend or the college title game last night could see it. ESPN (owned by Disney, a truly evil enterprise), NBC, and Fox seem determined to ignore one of the coolest parts of the game.
These guys spend three hours trying to tear each other to pieces, and then they immediately join together arm in arm to pray afterward, right at midfield. A lot of the players come from super poor backgrounds but have strong families and strong faith that powered them forward in life. It’s clearly a differentiator. All of this is truly amazing and, as this piece lays out, totally ignored by the corporate media.

Congress is not responsive to the concerns of ordinary Americans. They have learned nothing from all the recent political upheaval. They are still purely focused on the agenda of organized interest groups; with Wall Street near the front of the line, especially for Republicans.
