Beautifully elegant statement by @nickdemarco_ . So, Dear Nick, Keith @NCSL1892 and @KieranMaguire where do you all think this might go next? And could other clubs consiser taking anti competitive action against @ChelseaFC and @premierleague because CFC effectively cheated?

When it is argued, in various football disputes, that points deductions must be imposed even for inadvertent breaches, in order to vindicate compliant clubs, one has to wonder whether that reflects a genuine commitment to consistent strict enforcement in all cases, or is simply a position adopted for the purposes of a particular case. Consistency is very important in sport - the lack of it can undermine public confidence in the integrity of the whole game. I do not comment on any one individual case, I just hope that those involved in the decision making processes can see the merit in treating each case according to its particular circumstances rather than being inflexible in some, but very flexible in others. That, I am sure, would help restore the confidence in sports arbitration we all wish for.

@Kevin_Maguire Agreed. Also, the insurance industry may well come down in a reactive 'Grenfell' way on the vaping retail trade. Premiums on vape storage could shoot up.

I woke frustrated & faced reality. It’s nobodies fault. Blaming people is weakness of inability to accept the truth & hit out with blame! We were easily beaten by City’s 2nd team. They broke rules for over 10 years. We need sponsors, or better players, or court action, or all 3!

No push to say NUFC should have been given two penalties? Hall then Barnes... including offside goal, no VAR shines a light on dreadful level of officiating in England at top level right now. Woltemade never gets decisions either.

I’ve seen some bad referee displays in my time but Chris Kavanagh and his assistants are having a shocker. Villa’s goal offside, Lewis Hall should have been awarded a penalty and Digne should have been sent off before Bizot for a really horrible tackle on Jacob Murphy #nufc
