நண்பரின் மகன் பதிவு திருமணத்திற்கு சாட்சி கையொப்பமிட சார்பதிவாளர் அலுவலகம் சென்றிருந்தேன்.அந்த நேரத்தில் ஒரு வயதான அம்மா, நிலமோ,வீடோ விற்பவராக இருக்க வேண்டும் நடுக்கத்துடன் கையொப்பமிட்டார்.அவர் எவ்வளவு கட்டுப்படுத்தியும் அவரை அறியாமல் கண்ணீரும்,செருமலும் வந்தது.அவரது உடமையை வாங்கும் இளம் தம்பதிகள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் சங்கடத்துடன் பார்த்துக்கொண்டனர்.விற்பவர் அழுவதால் அங்கு கனத்த ஒரு எதிர்மறை சூழ்நிலை நிலவியது...இந்த சூழ்நிலை எப்படி மாறப்போகிறது என்று நான் நினைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்த வேளையில் அழுத அந்த அம்மா கண்களைத் துடைத்துக்கொண்டு வாங்குகின்ற அந்த பெண்ணின் கைகளைப்பற்றிக்கொண்டு "ஆயி கண்கலங்குறேன்னு அபச குணம்னு நினைச்சிறாத என் கையால கொடுத்த நல்லா வளரும்,நல்ல ராசியான கைன்னு எல்லோரும் சொல்லுவாக எனக்கு வேற சிலத நெனச்சி கண்ணு தண்ணி வந்துட்டு" என்றார்.இப்போது அந்த வாங்குகின்ற பெண் பெருமூச்சுடன் கண்கள் கலங்கினார்.இரண்டு நிமிட நிகழ்வுதான் இரண்டு மனிதர்களின் நூறாண்டு வாழ்வு,வீழ்வு ,அனுபவம்,அன்பு, துணிவு அனைத்தையும் உணர்ந்தேன்...இழப்பதற்கு எதுவும் இல்லாத வாழ்வும் கூட ஒரு வகை நிம்மதியான வாழ்வுதான் போல...
